  1. I'm in the Nilfisk camp. I have a Nilfisk P150 2-10 X-tra Pressure Washer with an extra hose, underbody lance and patio cleaner and it is used every week. I had a couple of Kew pressure washers years ago and they gave me no trouble. I understand Nilfisk took them over. If you are prepared to spend more money then go for a pressure washer, as above, with a brass cylinder head. If you look after it, make sure the pump is fully primed before you switch it on and change the oil every 4-5 years it should give you good service. I bought mine a few years ago from Pressurewasher.co.uk based in Stratford and got a good price and good service.
  2. My Citigo is only 5 months old and I had the aerial base replaced about a month ago. There was an improvement in reception which has now gradually deteriorated. I listen to radio 2 & radio 4 which should be good reception in most places, but it is still intermittent, crackles and fades far too much to be acceptable. I will take it back in to have it replaced again. They did it whilst I waited last time, took about 45 mins but I had to wait 7-10 days for the part to come in.
  3. I've just has the aerial base unit replaced under warranty too on my Sept 2015 Citigo. Intermittent radio reception on radio 2 and radio 4. Varied from very clear and crisp through to no reception at all, sometimes happening within only travelling a few metres. Dealer needed proof as the radio reception was good in the workshop. I saved some footage from my webcam and that was good enough to get the aerial base replaced. It was only done today but so far it seems to be a lot better. trooperj3
  4. Thanks for all the replies which make for interesting reading. For me the bottom line is what you pay for the car initially. the cost to run it and how long you intend to keep it for. It would be interesting and helpful to potential purchasers what people had actually paid for their cars and what deals had been agreed, finance or otherwise. As virtually everyone on here is anonymous then people should be ok with divulging that info. Personally I've always been wary of finance plans mainly because of getting stitched up with early settlement charges or the cost of any excess miles so I have always bought my cars outright and sold my old cars privately. Not too concerned who I buy it from so I'll travel the country to pick up a car if it makes financial sense to do so. I recently bought a pre-registered 4 door 60ps SEL G/tech with 40 miles on the clock, metallic paint, spare wheel and car mats car for £8300 which I was happy with. So far really pleased with the car and will probably keep it for 10 years or so if it proves to be reliable.
  5. I see a lot of threads on here with people buying their cars through a PCP. What is the most common option for buying your car and how long do you normally keep them for. For myself I have always bought my cars outright, serviced them myself and kept them a long time. I've never been too concerned about having a service book stamped, especially after the warranty has expired. I also get the long term benefit from looking after my car and knowing it has been well serviced and touch wood, I have never had any major problems.
  6. Hi, I've just bought a virtually new Citigo SEL G/Tech, opted for the spare wheel as I would not wish to rely on any tyre sealant. I've only driven it about 30 miles but I'm pretty pleased with it so far and my wife likes it too. I have already fitted an engine pre-heater, a K&N air filter, changed the headlights bulbs to Osram Nightbreakers unlimited, mud-flaps all round, Door protection mouldings, boot liner and car-mats & some further undersealing. Surprised to find two of the alloy wheels stuck to the hubs with rust. All of them needed the rust cleaning off and the faces lightly coated with graphite grease. If the car proves to be reliable I intend to keep it for a long time, servicing it myself at shorter intervals than specified. Has anybody downloaded a workshop manual?
