  1. Not entirely sure - I just followed the manual under the heading 'turning the alarm off'! That said, I didn't have a flat battery when I came back to the car and it wasn't alarming, so either it worked or the ferry movement isn't sufficient to activate it.
  2. Its really easy - there is a button on the driver side door pillar. When you press it it should go from Amber (on) to white (off). I faffed around a bit at first because you have to do it within a certain time from removing the keys / switching the ignition off (I seem to remember). It is pretty clear in the manual.
  3. Oh - just read the thread properly - I have xenons. Sorry....
  4. I have just returned from a holiday in Spain and Portugal. We took the ferry from Plymouth to Santander and then drove down to the Algarve (stopping in Salamanca if your interested). The car performed fantastically and was a joy to drive (even with 3 kids in the back). On the headlight point specifically - it took about 10 minutes after getting off the ferry in Spain for the SATNAV to kick in and recognise that we were in a different country (not a problem I was still queuing at passport control); when it did kick in with my location I got a message on the MFD saying "headlights configured for driving on right" (or something very similar), absolutely no action required by me. On arrival back in Plymouth at the end of the hols (sigh) I got a similar message telling me they were set for driving on the left. On a related point - don't forget tto turn the alarm off on the ferry. You have to do it within a certain time of switching the ignition off. To my shame I had to consult the manual after pressing the button several times and it staying amber!
  5. Really?! - I can't get it to work with my Oct 15 Superb and was told categorically by Skoda that it was not compatible. I'd be grateful for any tips!
  6. Thank you. I'll have another look for the option, but your reply is really useful. Looking forward to taking the car on some long open roads - now if I can just get the 3 boys in the back to stay quiet....
  7. Good morning. I am taking my SEL Exec 150 Estate through Spain to Portugal this summer (via the Plymouth - Santander ferry..). Does any one know if the car is clever enough to kow it is overseas and auto switch the headlights? My old Yeti had a function in settings where you could do this, but I can't seem to find one in the Superb. Thanks
  8. So definitive answer from Skoda UK is that the wifi function is to generate s hotspot and share a 3G connection with others in vicinity. I was also told that Skoda One and Skoda Connect App only available on Kodiak and MY 17 Superbs... not my ancient 65 plate...
  9. There is definately an issue with the aircon. The blowing hot air issue (and I mean really hot air) happened to me (65 SE Exec Estate) about a year ago, I self fixed with a reset (as above). It happened again about a month ago, with a drive through Spain and Portugal coming up this was less than optimal! I took it in to Murray Skoda who did a complete software update and all seems well now. It does however take about 30 min to get truly cold, I drove a mondeo recently which was icy inside a minute!
  10. Thank you. Have you managed to connect Spotify on iPhone by Bluetooth?
  11. Ha! Sorry phone cut out! Only available for Kodiak and Octavia! I asked what about your 'Flagship' model- the Superb and customer services said "what do you mean by Flagship".... so currently no app compatible with superb (although I stand by to be corrected). Just another small disappointment along with my apparently useless wifi function and inability to connect Spotify by Bluetooth.
  12. Thank you everyone for your replies, I'm still no clearer however! In other breaking news I tried to connect to the SKODA CONNECT APP without success, a call to customer services reveals that it is only available for
  13. Potentially, but that App is relatively new and certainly didn't exist when I first got the car. I'll try tonight!
