  1. Similar experience. Got my 190 DSG hatch L&K 10 Cappuccino with Beige leather (Irish version) 10 days ago. Have a 1,000 km on the clock, and really Love it - pictures on other thread. My 24 year old son had his friends around to have a good look at it - and all said its the best looking family type car on the market - nicer looking than BMW or Merc! positives; It looks fantastic and I've gotten so many compliments - most of all for the 19" anthrecite alloys - on the tires - they feel just fine no issue in terms of ride ACC is great - but takes a bit of getting used to - trusting the car to slow itself down and stop is a bit scary a first - I did a 70k stretch without once using my feet ! Can find no fault with the build quality whatsoever (still early days!) The foot release for the boot is great The space is fantastic ! The boot - such space and that's coming from a V70! I can get golf clubs in length ways ! Comfort - this is just the perfect car for a long trip, plus you won't find a better cruiser Electronic handbrake - you get used to it very quickly DSG - having come from an auto (Volvo V70) I didn't think I notice any difference, but this is a step up Acceleration From 100k is very good - you can find yourself at 170k (106mph) very quickly - have to watch myself! Infotainment is great - but I've so much to learn yet Reversing camera is great and huge step up on the sensors The only ok bits To get the car to accelerate from low speeds I find you have to be heavy with the right foot, could be more responsive DCC - probably because I haven't really changed much from Normal - need to really try Sport mode Fuel consumption - in first 1k I'm getting an average of 48mpg which is poor versus Skoda claims but great versus the Volvo figures of 25mpg ! I expect this will get better Satnav is weak - a new stretch of motorway (m11) opened since last July is not on it, but it's good the way it's integrated with maxi dot Maybe it's the settings, but I've found Kessy a bit temperamental eg if I use my foot to open the boot and then go to the drivers door it won't open - I have to use the remote to get in The rear view could better - it feels like I'm getting a restricted view but probably am not The steering wheel position in relation to the drivers window sill - I'm used to driving with right elbow leaning on the door - but due to the height of the door it's not all that comfortable The drinks holder in the middle only accommodates small bottles or coffee cups. That's it for now - I waited 149 days to get the car but I now think it was worth the wait !
  2. thanks - just getting used to it - I have a run to Cork on Satuday - can't wait
  3. Collected yesterday ! Cappuccino Beige Leather L&K (Ireland) DSG 190 Hatch Add ones ACC Driver alert Dealer freebies Rubber boot cover Mats & mud flaps Extra AdBlue First Aid kit Coffee mug
  4. Just got the car yesterday, and I also haven't got it working
  5. I wrote to both dealer and Skoda Ireland in Feb to voice my concerns, and I think it was Skoda IrelNd who put the pressure on. They also pulled the car out of the line when it was on the dock in Dublin to get it to me quicker. I absolutely think they've both done a great job. But it wouldn't have happened unless I complained. In general I believe that us motorists put up with far too much in terms of supporting manufacturers who keep people waiting long periods of time
  6. Very excited ! Ordered 190 DSG hatch L&K Capuccino with Beige Leather, ACC and Driver assist on 27th November, and am collecting tomorrow ! After originally been told I'd get the car by end January, and then had a delay due to no beige leather, the garage and Skoda Ireland have been great. The garage even took my old Volvo v70 in February and gave me a one year old Octavia DSG for free until I get my car tomorrow !
  7. I'm hoping to collect my new Superb hatch L&K DSG 190 next weekend (it's landed in Dublin) what should I check for at handover time?
  8. Should you apply anything from the start to protect them?
  9. I think this is my favourite thread ! Really love the pics
  10. as Skoda buyers we are not alone -many makes - particularly European don't keep stock, and build to suit the manufacturing process and not the customer which is completely wrong - surely they can build at a price but keep customers happy - gripe out of the way. I was offered a Superb with a similar spec - but wrong colour and wrong interior. It's a crap customer experience but when the majority of manufacturers are following customers won't be able to change it as we all need cars, it will need a manufacturer to change the way they build and a model which doesn't penalise garages for keeping stock before it changes - until then I hate them all (almost as bad as bankers - oops!)
  11. delighted for you - I'm similar - car ordered end Nov promised end Jan, delayed due to beige leather, built on 30 th March, now at port waiting for ship - I can nearly touch it .Anybody got some 190 stories that will excite us some more ? I promise to post when I get mine
  12. Hi, Seeing as there were topics for most other variants, thought I'd start this one. I'm due to get my 190 (fwd) with DSG in the next couple of weeks ( I think it's being shipped now ) To get started, Some questions for those that have a 190; 1. What's the acceleration like? 2. What rpm at 70mph ( c 112kmh)? 3. Is Adblue much of a nuisance ? 4. MPG?
  13. Anyone what make of tyres come with L&K Irish spec (19" Pegasus) - waiting for the car just interested
