I have driven Mike's converted SMF Octavia and have to say what a difference it made to the car. Drive take up was much smoother and it seemed to accelerate much more freely without the awful vibrations and harshness of the DMF I had in mine. Hope you are settled now Mike in East and Merry Christmas to you.

1.9TDI 5 speed approaching 92000 miles. At 50 mph there is a whine coming from the front of the car. It is speed dependant, not rev. What could it be? sounds like the gearbox/diff to me, is this a known issue?
