  1. I'm also waiting to join the official waze beta test, but in the meantime, I'm grabbing the beta from apkmirror: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/waze/waze-gps-maps-traffic-alerts-live-navigation/waze-gps-maps-traffic-alerts-live-navigation-4-27-0-0-release/
  2. For what it's worth I use Android Auto in both my Suberb and my wife's Fabia and have had very few problems - I use Spotify and Audible daily with no issues. The only real problem I've experienced is while driving in Europe over the summer; changes to the roaming data provider would crash AA. It happened mostly when crossing borders.
  3. Thanks for the replies - I was worried it was an indicator that something was wrong. I'll book it in. Cheers, Tim
  4. Hi, I've just gone over 6,000 miles in my 6 month old 1.4 TSI and am being prompted to have an Oil Change Service now. The MIB2 is saying that it needs an Inspection Service in 13700 miles or 502 days. That doesn't sound right, does it? I've made some changes via VCDS, but haven't changed any of the SRI settings. I'm pretty sure the car should be on variable servicing - the service manual has a sticker with the QI6 code on it. I guess I need to take it in the the local dealer - but before I do, any idea what's up with it? Thanks, Tim
  5. Well, there's that odd non-disclosure section on their T&Cs. Mine came from a main dealer with a "P" plate.
  6. I have a 1.4TSI Manual hatch, have done a shade over 2K miles now. My run from Bath to Heathrow and back this weekend gave me an average of 49.1mpg on the maxidot. Pretty happy with that.
  7. I ordered with buyanewcar on 26 November and was told "start of March" - it was delivered by a main dealer driver to my home on the 4th March. Seems pretty good, considering some of the stories on here? Once I'd ordered I didn't bother contacting them until the start of Feb, they always emailed back within a day when I did.
  8. Yep, my S3 came via them. I'm very happy with the service I got.
  9. I got unexpected mats with my SE-L, via a broker. They're my spare set now, as I'd also ordered a set from superskoda...
  10. All those tools are just front ends for ffmpeg, so if you're happy to use the commandline you could grab it from: http://ffmpeg.org Free of any bundled crapware. I used these options to convert to columbus size/spec: ffmpeg -i input.mkv -vf "scale=720:-2" -ac 2 -c:v libx264 -preset slow -crf 22 -c:a libfdk_aac -b:a 128k output.mp4 This scales the video to fit exactly on the screen keeping the aspect ratio, and converts to fairly standard reasonably good quality mp4 (H.264 video, stereo AAC sound). Cheers, Tim
  11. I bought one of these for my son's side: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diono-Super-Mat-Seat-Protector/dp/B00BFQ5BMU I think it's designed to go under a car seat, but it works fine as just a cover.
  12. I'm considering buying a VCDS just for my own personal use on my mk3 Superb. I'm not bothered about using it on any other cars, so will the Micro-CAN version do everything, or is it worth shelling out extra for the HEX-USB+CAN version? Cheers, Tim
  13. I picked up my SE-L Exec last weekend - other than metallic paint I didn't specify any extras. I appear to have smart light assist - it definitely dips the full beams when other cars approach, and I have the multi-function camera behind the rear view mirror. I'm toying with the idea of getting VCDS to see if I can turn on lane assist or TSR...
  14. My business gray hatch was delivered on Friday, so perhaps that was one. I've only seen one other in Bath...
  15. Hi from Bath. I'm waiting for my new/first Skoda - a Superb Hatchback 1.4TSI 150 SE L Exec. It's due to be delivered in early March.
