That is such a shame. Sorry to hear about your car. I'm not sure about the law in Spain, but in the UK this would be a clear case for rejecting the car. I certainly would if that was me.

Traded in my 2016 L&K for a brand new Superb facelift in Black Magic this week. I put a video on my Youtube channel with the dealer's permission. I'm particularly impressed with the virtual cockpit and predictive cruise control.

I've had a Nextbase 512GW hardwired in my car for the last four years. It doesn't stop recording when you're stationary; as long as the ignition is on, it will keep recording. I've set it to run on for two minutes after the ignition is switched off. The battery doesn't last for long, but it's not designed to.

Yeah the auto wipers on my Superb are OK, but as others have said, a bit hit and miss and I have to keep playing with the sensitivity settings. The Hyundai i40 I had before was even worse, which would always do a single sweep every time the engine was started, whether it was raining or not - a sure fire way to destroy the blades and scratch the windscreen. The only car I had with good auto wipers was a 2007 Honda Civic, which were completely on point.

Engine stops during start with DSG gearbox
grebble replied to laimuxx's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
My MY16 Superb occasionally used to stall on a cold engine when releasing the brake pedal. I haven't had it happen for a couple of years though, not sure if the dealer applied a software update that may have resolved it. -
Panoramic sunroof is an optional extra even on the L&K, and a damned expensive one at that.

Dynamic Light Assist - a bit rubbish?
grebble replied to Rikochet's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
The only time I've been flashed when using light assist in my L&K is on a long straight. The driver of an oncoming vehicle 600 yards or so away will think, "Look at this idiot coming the other way with his Xenons on full beam. Come on, dip!" Flash flash. Obviously they are unaware that the system will dip automatically in its own time, well before I get to them. On twisty roads I've never had a problem. -
Predictive cruise control in Superb facelift?
grebble replied to grebble's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I ordered mine on the 18th October. The sales guy said there was a 4-month lead time, but then he emailed me last week to say it was scheduled to be built w/c 18th November, which was a nice surprise, especially as my current one in 2016 took the full 4 months from order to delivery. -
Predictive cruise control in Superb facelift?

Great stuff, thanks Panmat! The dealer reckons I should have the car before Christmas, so hopefully not too long to wait 🙂 -
Hi all. I have a 2016 Mk3 Superb L&K which I've had since new. Fantastic car, absolutely can't fault it. But recently my dealer called me in for an 'account review' as my PCP is coming to an end, and the visit ended up in my ordering a new facelift L&K with a pretty substantial discount. It looks as though it'll be built in 2 weeks' time. I know I'll get the new mod cons like the virtual cockpit, but whilst perusing the manual online today, it seems that the adaptive cruise control can react to speed limits and bends. This hasn't been communicated to me by the dealer, nor is it in the brochure or features list, but a quick look online does indeed reveal that the facelift Superb has predictive cruise control, if you have traffic sign recognition, which I have opted for. Can anyone confirm this? I've searched the forums but can't find anything. It's super exciting if it does, and a bonus I didn't expect!

S3 Start-Stop change of function

I think there may have been some confusion in this thread about the meaning of 'press' and 'depress' - native English speakers will know it means the same thing, but I think the OP meant 'release' instead of 'depress' [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk -
I've been thinking of getting one of those, as I DJ part time and have already got a scratch from lifting my kit in and out. For the carbon one, it's about £68 delivered as far as I can see Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Start/Stop system-how to turn off permanently?
grebble replied to poczynek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Yes I agree that the start-stop on the DSG is really annoying. I had it on my old manual Hyundai i40, which was fine as the engine only stopped when it was in neutral with my foot off the clutch, but it's the only thing I really don't like about my Superb L&K. It says in the owner's manual that applying less pressure to the brake pedal can stop the engine cutting out, but that seems inconsistent. It does seem that the only way of disabling it permanently is to find someone with VCDS. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
