Lovely to drive and has a lot of toys (sat nav,cruise,bluetooth,collision mitigation) to keep me happy. Loads of room in the boot and just averaged 50mpg in stop start traffic to work

That is what you get now, 

lazy traders that know they can just punt your Trade In to WBAC without having to find any buyer or make a profit on it, 

but likely can as WBAC is now as we used to refer to 'Bottom Book Price'.

Have you tried a For Sale advert in the likes of Briskoda Forum to see if you can get more than £2,500 for your car?

to be honest mechanically its ifne but its got a lot of knocks and dints and i really dont want the hassle of a priv sale
