Updated the software? I thought repalcing the siren was a direct replacement, haven’t herd of anyone else having to have an update to reset the new alarm siren installed.

I have fitted a new Siren to my car and although my alarm doesn't seem to go straight off now it is still going off after a few hours. Can anyone advise? and if I can use VCDS to find out alarm event activation can someone point me in the right direction of where to look? My alarm is really becoming the bane in my life. thanks for any help

Would the siren still sound if it was the battery and the LED light is suggesting it is locking correctly? I believe that I have found the correct alarm activation event and the number stored is 1 - but I am getting mixed information about which latch this refers to on the car. Any further help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a Octavia mk2 pre FL Tdi vRs and My car alarm has started going of regularly. The Red LED is setting correctly once the car is locked. I have access to VCDS but am not sure which module and blocks I should be looking at. Tonight I found in module 46 central convince a section on alarm activations with an allocated number. could anyone point me in the right direction of where I should be looking to find alarm events? and if this is the right section what the each number represents as the area that has set the alarm off. Could someone run me through the process to find these alarm events. Thanks

Thanks, after much reading on here I finally found some vague guidance and managed to preform the mr muscle clean yesterday. The car has got power low down again. I may chuck a forte turbo cleaner in as well in the weeks to come to ensure a comprehensive clean! Thanks for the advice.

Another happy customer but on a vRS Tdi pD. Managed to get the small brass EGR pipe off enough from underneath (still terrible access) but managed enough to get the silicone pipe in. From above its impossible. Car has power low down the Rev range again. So happy! Only thing to note as I was so blind I wasn’t 100% sure it had gone to the turbo or the engine (risky but worked) Thanks

Hi, I am having issues with my turbo vanes sticking and can't find anywhere a written example of how to do the Mr Muscle approach on this model (Skoda Octavia mk2 vRS 2.0 170 pd BMN). I am struggling to locate the EGR on the turbo to allow for Mr Muscle action. Can anyone advise on whether the have managed to do this and provide a quick guide? Thanks

Here is a little pic of my mkii central internal visual mods. Retro fit rns315 with Dab and Bluetooth, retrofit Audi s-line gear knob, black with red flake vinyl to all central facia. Think it looks so much better for it. And my minor external visual mods including black wing mirrors and black fog surrounds. All quite subtle but I like it.

Have you any fog light surrounds left? If so what colour?
