  1. I've recently picked up my Octavia RS combi but I'm wondering if anyone has come across any waterproof seat covers that fit correctly to the drivers sports seat. I've had some ActionSport covers in the past but what I have won't fit these seats. Don't want the seats getting destroyed when jumping in after work. Any help appreciated. Mark
  2. Coming back to this now after finally getting around to having someone take a look at the cluster. After removing it and giving to to a guy to check over all the LED's, he came back to say that only the speedo needle wasn't working, which I can live without anyway. After putting the cluster back into the car, I thought I was onto a winner as the indicator was now flashing. Except as well as the right indicator flashing, the cruise control light and fuel warning light also flash. When the left indicator is used, the dipped headlight symbol and again the fuel light flash. I've gone from no indicator flashing to it working but with random other lights also flashing all from just having the LED's tested with something that looked like a multimeter that caused the lights to illuminate when touched. Any suggestions as to how to rectify this?
  3. The right indicator in the instrument cluster has stopped working. It has come back as a minor fail on my NCT test. Is this a DIY repair or will I need to have someone look at it. If it is a DIY job are there any how to's floating around?
  4. I'm picking the car up tomorrow when I get home but by all accounts the car is back running as it should. The mechanic said the high pressure fuel regulator valve needed replacing. Would that have given warnings before going or is it a case of only causing issues when gone. Reason I ask is, the day the car broke down I noticed the revs jump a little more often than normal but I put it sown to the dpf regeneration.
  5. I got my insurance to come and get it home to my mechanic so it's with him now. I'll update when I hear from him.
  6. I'm currently having some issues with my 2010 face-lift Octavia vrs. It started yesterday morning, drove to work without issue then around lunchtime when I got in and started it, it started and ran for maybe 10 or 15 seconds before shuddering and cutting out. Since then it will turn but won't fire. I tried putting a jump-start pack onto it but although it seemed to be getting closer to firing up it still didn't. I gave up after a while as it was starting to get dark and I didn't want to do any damage by constantly trying to start it. Is there any suggestions as to what might be the issue, or anything I can try to get it started and home so my mechanic can have a look at it?
  7. We picked up our new '21 Karoq 2 weeks ago. All going well apart from over the last few days there seems to be an excessive amount off condensation particularly on the windscreen and drivers side window. So much so that there are large droplets forming on the inside of the glass and falling onto the dashboard. It takes a few minutes then to completely clear the windows. I've had a look around to see if there is any water inside the car but nothing that I can see. The car hasn't been washed yet for it have maybe come in through a slightly opened window. Any other obvious things to look out for that may be causing it?
