  1. You need to buy the boot guard for this to work, I made my own in the end and used zip ties to fasten in place.
  2. Had one snap off on the front passenger door when my wife tried to shut the door. If was at night so dark, when she went to close the door it failed to retracted stopping the door from closing so she slammed it shut and said nothing of it. Found it on the floor in the morning and yes it did damage the paint work. Its in for its second service in the morning, they said they'd take a look at it but I'm not holding my breath. I give up caring about the paint work, wife drives it 95% of the time and its covered in dents and scratches due to idiots in car parks and her inability to walk the extra few steps to avoid this happening.
  3. Hi Chris, How many owners has the car had? What was the cost of the service?
  4. Yep, this happened to my wife and she is still paying for it even though she still has her no claims. She wasn't even in the car when the idiot reversed into her old car but because she reported it (but didn't claim anything) when she renewed her policy is was classed as a non fault claim as apparently you're 50% likly to have an accident in the first year after a non fault accident. They screw you either way.
  5. Standard SE L but I'm more then happy with the spec, comparing it to the VRS I have everything but leather seats which I didn't want and a heated windscreen which would of been nice but not a big deal. I still don't understand why Skoda have car mats as an option I was surprised when I checked the spec. I paid extra for heated seats, rear tinted glass, Kessy, folding mirrors and smart link on the VRS.
  6. It was on order for stock, walked in at the end of April and they had 1 left in the spec and colour I wanted
  7. Hi, Picked up our new 1.4 SEL DSG today and I'm really pleased with the quality and drive, can't believe the power of the 1.4. I still have the VRS but its now up for sale
  8. Book the car in for a service today at stockport lookers for Monday, which is local to my work place, called and I think its just a call centre, told him I only want a minor service to which he said that it may void my warranty and then made a note on something saying he has told me. I'm half tempted to cancel and take it elsewhere. Cost is £159
  9. Minor it is then, I'll fit an air filter myself.
  10. but from what I'm reading on here and else where is that the pollen filter, plugs etc don't get changed and your paying more for the same as a minor. I had a minor, filter and oil change at 12 months 5k
  11. I'm at 9000k, 2nd year and due for a service, are you saying I should just book a minor service and save the difference ?
  12. Similar to above, Tyre pressure- my VRS was way over inflated when I got it home. Umbrella & Sat nav SD card - When I got the company car, both umbrellas and SD card were missing. Anything in the spec, I think its the above plus netting system for the boot
