  1. Hello exantas, I apologize for the late reply. I'm sorry, I do not know the slip ring number. I do not think this is listed by VCDS (the slip ring itself has no electronics). My Skoda Fabia is a 2014 model. According to ELSA, it will probably be one of the last slip rings built in (with ESP) - I suspect 6Q0 959 654 D (for ESP). 6R0 959 654 (for ESP) I think rather not, because my vehicle was first approved 02/2014. I'm sorry, I can not say for sure. There is a similar post in the German-speaking Skoda forum: https://www.skodacommunity.de/threads/multifunktionslenkrad-beim-fabia-5j-nachruesten.71838/page-3 The user "boehmec" owns a Skoda Fabia MJ 2011 and has successfully retrofitted the multifunction buttons. The user writes that he did not have to swap the slip ring. Only the airbag cable was changed to one for multifunction buttons. And of course, the additional LIN bus line and the power supply had to be installed. I also understand the German language, if necessary I can help with individual posts from the German-speaking forum. Please let me know if I can help you. Best regards, 2014atmc
  2. Hello exantas, no, unfortunately I do not have a current full scan. I would have to do a current scan. However, I should have a (older) scan in which the multifunction steering wheel with the buttons already works. Do you need any special information? Best regards, 2014atmc
  3. I bought my car second handed. Originally it came without the Multi-Function steering wheel but with the red stitching. As I know, Skoda never sold the Monte Carlo with red stitching and multi function keys. It was just possible to get the keys combined with black stitching otherwise the red stitching without multi function keys. Also the Fabia didn't had the controls on both sides. I've retrofitted them from a Skoda Superb :notme: Regards, 2014atmc
  4. Here is a picture of my steering wheel: Regards, 2014atmc
  5. Hello, yes, I've a 2014 Monte Carlo with Multi-Function steering wheel and red stitching. But I think my Monte has the latest streering wheel available for Mk II. Regards, 2014atmc
  6. Without any warranty, this should be the right part number. You have to remove the airbag to replace the buttons. This could be dangerous and should only be carried out by trained personnel. Maybe you have to code something with VCDS, but I can not say with certainty... Sorry, but maybe someone with a DSG can help you. Regards, 2014atmc
  7. Yes, that is exactly what I've done. I wrote down the assignment of the switch, unfortunately I am not at home. You just need a cheap multimeter - it's easy to find out. As I remember, the connector in the middle is for +12V (ignition system, clamp #15), the two next to the middle are for heating stage 1 and heating stage 2. One of two remaining connectors is also for +12V, but for the lamps (green & orange LED, just shine if you turn on the lights), the other is for chassis ground. I think it is also possible to retrofit everything with original Skoda spare parts (heating elements, electric wires,...), but they are more expensive than parts from third manufacturer. So yes... I'ts not a "true retrofit"... Regards,2014atmc
  8. As far as I know, the switches of MK1 are different from those of the MK2. Those of MK1 have more settings. The MK2 just have simple mechanical switches with two setting options (1 and 2). Maybe I‘m wrong, but I think the two mats of a seat are once connected parallel and once connected in series, so you‘ll get the two different settings. Regards, 2014atmc P.S.: Sorry for my bad English, hope you know what I mean
  9. Hello, I also have a Fabia II Monte Carlo and I‘ve retrofitted heated seats by my own. So, yes it is possible, but it takes some time and you need some technical skills... I‘ve installed carbon-mats from Systafex. I‘ve also bought the original Skoda switches because I think they look better than the switches from Systafex. For Fabia II I don't think you have to code something with VCDS. Regards, 2014atmc
  10. At first I ordered the Buttons with the number 5E0919719F. These are the correct buttons. But obviously the seller sent me some faulty buttons. Therefore I returned them and told the seller to send me some replacement. A few days later I received new buttons. Not originally ordered 5E0919719F but 5E0919719G. The only difference is that the buttons with G at the end also can used in cars with automatic transmission (but also work in cars without automatic transmission). After everything works, I will not send them back. Regards, 2014atmc
  11. Hello, here comes a small update. I've got some spare parts. The seller sent me some new buttons. Now I've got some buttons with the number 5E0919719G. Although these are actually for cars with DSG, they will also work in cars with manual transmission. After activating them with VCDS and everything seems to work correct. Thank you all for the great answers, that was very helpful  Regards, 2014atmc
  12. Hello @Blackray Thank you for telling your experience. That helps a lot @fabiamk2SE Can you confirm the partnumber of the steering wheel buttons you used for retrofitting? Are 5E0919719F (5E0919719G for DSG) the right one? As described, there are for example 5E0919719A and 5E0919719B. Both of them are for the Octavia III and allegedly don't work for a Fabia II. Don't know if this is correct, but I think so. Regards, 2014atmc
  13. Hello Ray, Thanks for your answer. Yes I have. In fact, it was this offer: *klick me* I've bougt them, because I've found these posts: Post: 5E0919719 F MFSW buttons and Gallery: mfsw-in-monte so I thought this should fit... Regards, 2014atmc
  14. Okay, yesterday I've checkt the VCDS Output. Here comes the original output without installing the buttons. Here is the output with retrofitted buttons but without activating them with VCDS. Note: the subsystem 3 is no longer available or now listet under number 4. Next one is the output with retrofitted buttons and also activated with VCDS. In my opinion, the buttons should get listet. For comparison here comes the outputfile of a Fabia II with standard multimedia buttons (file found at german Skoda forum). Perhaps the buttons are broken? Or the ebay seller has mistakenly sold the wrong parts (there is no part number on the buttons). There are also buttons, which look the same, but have the part number "5E0919719A" or "5E0919719B" (DSG). These buttons are only for the Skoda Octavia III, I think... Maybe someone out there, retrofitted 5E0919719F buttons and can give me some tips how I could find the error. Thanks in advance, regards 2014atmc
  15. Hello, recently I own a (used) Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo. I like it and I'm very happy with this vehicle. Now I would like to retrofit a multifunction steering wheel - only the keys. I've found a how-to for a VW Polo (http://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=54171). After changing the airbag wiring loom (part# 5E0971584A), I upgrade the two cables. First the LIN from BCM (white plug), pin 17 to pin 10 on steering plug and the second +12V cable from pin 15 on light switch to pin 9 at steering plug. I also bought the buttons (left & right) from ebay with part# 5E0919719F. Hope these are the correct buttons? After everything was assembled, I've start testing the upgrade. Turning on the lights, the buttons are green illuminated. So connection should be correct. Unfortunately the buttons don't work correct. Exactly not a single button works. Only if I press the left wheel down, the volume of the radio increase although radio should mute. What has gone wrong? Have I used wrong parts? Do I have to recode these button-set with VCDS? I've just activated them by setting the hook at “Multi-Funktion-Steering-Wheel (MFSW) installed”. Maybe someone could help me with this problem. Thanks in advance, regards 2014atmc
