  1. I had a budget of £500-£600 and we worked with that. Obviously each job is unique and by skipping the interior prep I'd expect you'd save a couple of hundred quid. I've upgraded to the SiRamik Glasscoat too which was a pricier option but after having black cars before I figured it was worth it. Most of the prices are on the website too which helps with pricing it up. There's usually a 6+ week lead time with them but I associate that with quality workmanship. I'd definitely recommend them or at least give them a call to discuss it. I know someone who uses Revolution Rides and they are happy with their work and a friend of a friend uses somebody else, can't remember details though. Horses for courses I suppose. If you find someone whose work you are happy with and can trust then sometimes cost is the lesser factor.
  2. I had Nankang on a previous car and was happy with them for the price you pay, tried a set of the Federal due to a recommendation and they were the worst tyres I've ever driven on. Swapped them off within 3 months due to lack of feel and horrible road noise. Obviously all cars handle, and will react differently to the same tyre but I wouldn't touch them again.
  3. Just give me a shout and i'll do my best, my next attempt at light upgrades will be the indicators on wing and cant say I'm looking forward to that.
  4. Thats me ... Type-R was sold when I got the Citigo so quite a change of pace
  5. Local enough for a drink then In fact... did you used to have a polo? the name rings a bell from when my brother had his GTis
  6. Yeah, based in Ecclesfield so hopefully get a meet up soon. The bug to make modifications is still strong so updates coming soon
  7. As I said it went for new car prep so full protection on interior and machine polish and sealant on outside. Took it to Reflectology in Sheffield who said the paint was horribly soft and there were a few scratches around the car. Spoken to the dealership about this since. There is a write up on the car on the Reflectology facebook page to see the before and after pics.
  8. Just done my indicators while at work this week, they were awkward to say the least but managed without having to remove the headlight unit.
  9. So on Tuesday 31st Jan I picked up a Citigo Colour Edition to accompany our Rapid Spaceback. Despite knowing a couple of people at work with them I wasn't ready for how great of a little car they are. Haven't spec'd anything on it as I just wanted one asap so looked what was available in the colour options I wanted. So far so good though and will tinker a little if I feel the need. Due to my obsession with lighting some new bulbs have been ordered and the sill protectors will be fitted once the car is back from having a full new car prep and protection detail carried out. Will be trawling through the forum and splitting between this and the Rapid categories but if anyone can offer initial advice it will be welcome. Looking forward to getting the thing run in so I can see what it really performs like as it has handled motorways with 3 passengers without any drama so far
  10. I seem to have a problem with the SD card option on mine as it only reads the first few artists/albums. Worked it out to be around 10gb worth and unable to see anything else. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah, obviously anything suspension related could have warranty issues. It would be fine if problems occurred elsewhere on the car. However, as it's just a cheap means of family transport I'm going to take longer to decide if and how to modify it to our desires. The springs were a cracking price and mates rates for fitting made it an easy decision. The correct springs will be approximately double what these would have been fitted :-o Maybe if we are still enjoying the car in 6-9 months then these things will be undertaken. As the car is less than 3 weeks old there's no rush :-) Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  12. So after a morning of conversions with the dealer, Skoda UK and Eibach it appears the correct kit isn't available for our car while maintaining warranty. Cheers for the heads up though people, would have been much more of a headache if I'd gone ahead with fitting. Calipers to be painted instead when I get a couple of days free. 13. Got a MY16 1.2 110 Spaceback too, it was the showroom model. Right, so how do I know if they've sent the correct springs? The kit is being fitted away from the dealer so no worries there but don't want to have to buy 2 crates of beer for fitting twice. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  14. The spaceback will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and today marked the first delivery of 'bits' [emoji6] [emoji48] Eibach spring kit and sill protectors which, time permitting during school holidays, should all be fitted by the beginning of April. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
