  1. My dealer told me yesterday that the facotry is producing only those cars for which they have all parts on stock. I don't think it's true, otherwise there wouldn't be as many cars with VIN number and awaiting parts. He also said that the car is produced from 0 to finished in cca one week. That I do believe...
  2. Does anyone have any reliable info on which equipment is causing delays at the moment (TSI, panels, sensors, canton, rear camera, side assist,...)? I am thinking of cancelling some additional equipment with hopes of speeding up the production (it is now 10 months since order)

  4. The worst part of all, at least for me, is that if you cancel the order you either a) get stuck with another long delivery or b) overpay a used car ðŸŦĪ I am not talking about Jerry's case but about all of us that are waiting for delivery with no definitive date

  6. How many weeks before delivery do you get the VIN number? I am 5 weeks prior to expected delivery and no VIN number so I'm not sure if it's still too early or if it will be pushed back. Delivery week hasn't changed for over 2 months so I'm still naive ðŸĪŠ
  7. From what my dealer told me, that stands for delivery week, i.e. car at the dealership
  8. If it's any consolation (I know it's not), we were quoted a delivery time of 8-9 months for Octavia combi Style 2.0 TDI 150HP mid-august 2021, for DSG it was 1-2 months extra. So, I think your dealer gave you the wrong delivery time to get you to order and maybe you still have a chance of getting the car this year. we expected delivery mid april - mid may and it has been prolonged to mid june because of the fire in the factory, I REALLY hope they won't prolong it further as we have had to sell our car in the meantime and now are without one...
