Apologies if this has been asked/covered before (haven’t come across hence....) but if I purchase a VCDS 3 VIN license (my wife has a 16 plate Fabia and I’m about to get a 67 plate superb) what happens with the 3rd VIN if I were to use it in another vehicle or for example if we then changed one of our two cars? I understand the principle of the system to discourage aftermarket garages from buying the cheapest cable and using it on loads of customer cars but is there a mechanism for resetting a VIN usage when it’s no longer required? (And therefore would this allow me to diagnose/code a third vehicle as a one off then in future after some time use it again on a different vehicle, as per the spirit of the VCDS owners map? - a bit like activating windows on a clean install again after 6 months....)

I think I know the answer to this but is there any way to tap off a pre out (RCA) / line level from the standard Columbus unit in a mk3 sportline 280? I know about the LC2i option and the Kenwood amp I have for my sub also has high level speaker inputs so that’s another possible option but preferably I’d like to get a “clean” line out signal which I could then use into the amp and just use the built in low pass filter. I’ve searched and searched through this forum for the last few weeks and haven’t come across a definitive answer (other than LC2i). Any advice would be much appreciated! Its this type of screen though I understand the actual amp/processor is the unit in the glove box where the SD and SIM card slots are?

I’m joining the mk3 280 4x4 club in the next week and a bit. Got a business grey sportline with 20k miles on a 67 plate. Took it for a test drive today and holy hell that power is insane when you floor it and it drops down the gears instantly and starts shouting! No camera fitted in the windscreen unfortunately so won’t be able to tweak TSR in etc but sure I can find some mods to do once I have it (planning to splash on the 3 vin VCDS now both me and my wife will have nearly new cars) Can’t wait! Just got to try and figure out how to add my 12” sub and 500W amplifier into the non canton sound system. I retrofitted the Kenwood dnx521dab in my (soon to be traded in) mk2 superb so that had good old fashioned RCA outputs, Pity the OEM’s don’t provide those for those of us that like a bit of a thump
