  1. HI. I am getting a warning on the maxidot that the car needs a service in 28 days time. No problem. I've booked the service. Can I cancel or reset the warning message, it's a minor nuisance. As usual the useless manual is no help, just tells me not to do it ? Thanks, Trebor
  2. Hi, after owning my car for almost 2 years I've just noticed little lights on the underside of the door mirrors. They come on when I unlock, and turn off a few minutes later. Whatever are they for ? Thx, Trebor
  3. Are you using Auto Climatronic ? Try manual, just guessing. Fan speed ?
  4. Hi, When I switch the climatronic to auto I have no control over the fan speed, probably for good reasons. I saw a video online (Youtube I think) which suggested there was a way of taking manual control. I didn't explain how though. I suspect it needed reprogramming of the VCDS or something? Anybody met this ?? K
  5. I find the Amundsen infotainment manual, especially re. SatNav, very difficult to understand. Does anyone know of an 'idiot's' guide dealing with the essentials, whilst ignoring the massive amount of secondary options? Thanks KK
  6. Mine has a switch at the bottom turns auto-dimming on/off
  7. I wish I had been able to get the manual, but the auto was part of the spec
  8. I find the auto-dimming mirror a complete waste of time. It has a photocell at the front just under the mirror itself, which detects light coming from behind me, and another at the back of the mirror, detecting light coming towards me. if the the light from behind me is brighter than the light from the front it dims. (At least this is how I assumes it works.) I often have to drive at night along a busy, dark road. It is a fast and difficult road and I am often dazzled by headlights from behind. The mirror refuses to dim because (I think) the headlights coming towards me are just as dazzling as those from behind. The solution is (I think) to cover the sensor at the back of the mirror. This will force the mirror to dim whenever i turn on the dimming function. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you solve it ? KK
  9. I have exactly the same problem, am fairly sure it the latch that holds the seat back. have tried everything else. Have not messed around with it yet, let me know if you make progress
  10. This what I got yes, On both occasions I stapped ASAP, visual check, proceeded carefully, then checked pressures later when cold. All was well
