  1. Thanks for that, I had already worked out the plastic caps and have ordered anew set, all I need to do now is remove the wheels and clean and paint the brake disk assembly.
  2. Hoping someone can answer. I have noticed hat the wheel nuts on my Octavia have discoloured and gone sort of misty and my rear wheel hubs are going rusty. The car is a December 2019 so not yet 3 years old. My question is are the wheel nuts covered with a plastic cap and can I remove them and replace with new ones and is it ok to clean off the hubs and paint with high temperature paint. Thanks in advance for any help
  3. Just to update, went out today and the orange light has gone and all working ok !!!
  4. Went out today and the orange acc light has come on and as a result cant get the cruise control to work. Front assist still available. car still in warranty as only 12 months old so not a major problem and i dont use cruise control much anyway. But just wondered if i am being thick and there is something i am missing. Did wash the car the other day but only a handwash with a hose not pressure washer. I have wiped the black cover below the skoda badge. Is there anything else i should try before booking it in?
  5. Thanks for your replies, will try the higher spec battery next time
  6. Kessy key fob went dead without warning, the car is only just 12 months old. Is it normal for batteries to fail this quickly. I thought you got a warning on the dash if the battery was low. Anyone else had the same problem?. Dont fancy being out one dark winter night and to try and use the key in the hidden lock on the door
  7. Just bought a 69 plate Skoda Octavia and am very pleased with it. I saw this forum while googling various things relating to the car and thought it might be useful in the future
