They do look very good indeed
Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk, please excuse any typos.
I'd say that's subjective!
Silver and black wheels, then adding in another colour? Not a fan personally.

You've got my sympathy!
Thought I'd done the same in Asda the other week, but the tyres overhang enough for them to have escaped unharmed this time.
Didn't realise these were 'diamond cut' - I'll be more careful in the future too.

Under £11. Seems like it will do the same as the power magic sort of thing.

I have one in my Superb estate
+ 1.
Not on a Superb, but had one of a VW. Fab quality and easy fit with no rattles.

Waiting on del. will probably do it over the weekend. Think there are a few stone chips out there judging from the recent posts!

But do Skoda sell paint in little containers with all the stuff what chipex do or they just sell 2 bottles of srpay cans - paint and lacquer :|
I mentioned price more for the OP - who had mentioned dealer pricing.
I'm sure we'd all pay more than the chippex price if it was as good as they say..... However, I've not found anything positive about them that wasn't posted by them. Not saying it's better or worse than anything else, more that it goes to show there is no easy fix - comes down to spending a little effort and time (along with being good at it or lucky I guess).

Just had me renewal through from Admiral this morning...no claims, points or anything untoward over the last year.
£390 increase on policy!!!
I've done a bit shopping about on compare the market, and managed to get it to around what I paid next year, rang Admiral and they can miraculously reduce their price...but they can get stuffed.
Surprisingly, the best quote I've got is from Direct Line, and with the added bonus on being protected from uninsured drivers (more commonly known as Tw@ts)
Anyway....anyone had an experience with Direct Line - would you recommend them as an insurer if so?
Cheers.
Direct line was one of the best I've been with - only left when I changed cars half way through a policy and they were dicks about it (less for a years than they wanted for 4months to change the car).
There are a set that are all part of the same group, always undercut eachother then match. Guess it's just a hope that some will just let it auto renew.

Or you can use Chipex. I have use them to do my previous Metallic Black Toledo and I`m planning to buy a set for my Octy as I already have some on the front bumper. Paint match was spot on before

This is the first positive thing I've seen written about them. For me it was enough to to go for the Skoda stuff.
£15 delivered from one of the dealerships - fine by me. Ordered some wet/dry paper too just to try and do a bit of a better job.

Cheers - not one I'm not gonna notice then!
Was a bit worried mine would be a "Friday car" as it was an unregistered one out the back of the dealership - only 3k miles in but it seems to be solid and we love it (along with its 'lump' of an engin :p )

..... clearcoat failure on bonnet) and get them sorted under warranty as soon as they manifest, if they manifest.
What's this and what should I be looking out for?

Anyone else using the Koonlung K1S?
I have it currently set up in my Focus and will transfer it over to my Superb when it arrives.
Without the car infront of me it's hard to picture, but I want to find a better way to fix the two cameras than the sticky pads on glass, as a) they keep coming unstuck the lens is then so close to the glass it causes lots of reflections.
I want to find a way to mount them a short distance from the glass but keep them as discreet as they currently are.
A) use better sticky pads! I don't use the same camera, but have 3M pads and they're going nowhere.
stay as close as you can - fit a CP filter if it's causing you problems.

I love the combination of 2 kids seats in the back and sub in the boot!

I'm in there in the next couple of weeks, but def. an option on my my16 spaceback. They said they'd done a couple.
If you ring them ask for John in sales - he was the one that said they'd done a couple (and has been helpful in finding out random information I was after too).

Quick update on this, I've had confirmation via email from Skoda Cambridge that it's not an option to retro fit on the Rapid. I explained the scenario and they still confirmed it can't be fine on the Rapid. They said exactly the same as Skoda Bristol :(

I'm confused!
What model year have you got? Is there the smartlink option on your radio, but you just get a message when you click on it?

Just a word about doing this upgrade with a Mac onto the sd-card from an Amundsen stereo. You have to copy the new maps to the skoda supplied sd-card, this is because the Amundsen has been paired to the physical identity of that card, so as a lay user we can't get around that pairing.
Just download the zip from skoda, it is massive (about 15GB) and failed several times for me so it had to be un-paused each time, but eventually it does download. Once you have it flip the write tab on the sd-card and put it in your Mac. Now that it can write to it, your Mac will be unhelpfully adding hidden folders that it uses to drive the file manager and the trash can, you can deal with these at the end of the copying process.
So now the sd-card will appear as a drive (called NO NAME) on the right hand side of your desktop. Open it up and copy the only folder in it maps to, say, your Documents folder. Do this so you can get back to what you had originally if anything goes wrong. Move the maps folder on the sd-card into the Trash Can.
Now the card appears to be empty. Open up the downloaded zip file (using Finder) that will probably be in your Downloads folder. It will will contain a maps folder and signature key file. Copy just the maps folder from here onto the sd-card.
After it has been transferred (takes ages) you can tidy the sd-card up. Being a Mac there isn't a straight forward way of doing this. The quickest way is with the Terminal, which you can open from Spotlight and run the following.
cd /Volumes/NO\ NAME/
rm -Rf .fseventsd/ ._.Trashes .Trashes/ .Spotlight-V100/ ._maps
exit
Then whip the sd-card out without ejecting it and return the write protect tab to read only. Test out the new maps on your Amundsen, if everything is ok you can remove the download and empty the Trash Can on you Mac.
I wouldn't recommend anyone reformats there sd-card, especially on a Mac, to perform this map upgrade, it is an unnecassary risk. Also if you don't know what Finder or Spotlight is I wouldn't attempt this without a pictorial guide.
On a Mac, the process I followed.....
Download file.
Up-zip
Drag folder to sd card
'Destination already contains a folder called Maps, do you want to replace this folder' - yes.
Job done, and all working super well.

This is probably the worst place to ask this question (might ask in the Dashcam thread in the octy section)
I've just fitted a sunscreen to my rear window, and it totally blocks my rear camera (yer, obvious now!). Looking at the back of the car to see any options I notice that the light clusters both have clear sections - and two revercing lights.
Is there any practical/legal issue with sticking the rear camera in one of the light clusters?

Ok, so have requested to cancel that order, as after all that I found them on Amazon!
Couple of quid cheaper than ordering from eBay and should be here Wednesday instead of 'July'. Just hope they see the cancel request

So I went in to the dealer this weekend and they told me only the Octavia, Fabia and Superb can be fine at the dealers. If your dealer knows otherwise let me know which one it is and I'll give them s ring.

OK, I've got a MY16 Rapid Spaceback with the latest Aumbistemanadand radio (yer, I've got no idea what it's really called).
Skoda in Cambridge let me know, but I'd already seen the info on here too.

Ordered a set from the eBay link today - will update when they arrive and I fit them. Fingers crossed they are a good fit for that money.
-
Hmm, was going to say the same about just paste the link - but it still isn't working now the video is live so I'm all out of ideas!
You were saying you don't like the mount - how about some pics?
-
Good to hear it all went well Chris! The Rapid doesn't seem to bad to install into - even with the glass roof the rear camera is ok.
-
I was in the same position after having a baby, needed more space than the 3dr polo I had then.
I went for the spaceback, hands down. As has been said more leg room in the back, I'd say just more room all round.mthe spec of the sport model is good and it does look smart with the glass roof and black wheels!
I'm not a 'car man' but it's a comfy drive and the Mrs really likes it too.
-
Apparently it's not possible at the moment. Ill ask again when its due its first service.

Yes you can. Any dealer that says you can't is talking rubbish.
Have a search and there is a long thread that shows info was slowly getting through to the dealers last year.
When I got the keys to mine in March the guy told me they can do it, but it has to be plugged in to their systems (this was without being asked about it - seemed to be just part of the car intro)

No, it's still showing ECE 2016 and the download maps button points to these maps and not the new ones.
Rubbish - sorry :(
