Tuning the <Beep> out of my VRS230
SalimShady04 posted a topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Hi All I've decided to starting looking to Modify my 2016 VRS 230. I always said i love my vrs except for the fact that its not an AWD car. So first on the agenda would be doing an AWD converion. I don't know many tuning companies in the South/South East/South West London Area. I was looking to approach a well known company called VRS Performance in Northampton about this because i believe they have done one on a Seat Cupra and given that the CUpra and the VRS share similar parts and built on a similar chassis it made sense to approach them about it. However i've realised Northampton is quite far from London so not really feasible. So if anyone has any recommendations of Tuners of a similar calibre to VRS Performance, please do let me know If anyone has done a AWD conversion or knows of someone who has i would love to get your input and feedback on how its behaving The other part of the modifications is to take it from 0 to Stage 3+/Stage 4 either with Revo or APR...still deciding so any input/ comments would be greatly appreciated Many Thanks for your time -
Hi Guys Just wondering about Tyre pressure. My new VRS comes with Pirelli P-Zero, the tyre pressure of all 4 was 34 PSI, the Max PSI for the Tyre is 50PSI. I'm trying to improve fuel economy. I've read that Car manufacturers chose comfort over economy when setting the tyre pressure in their manuals. Also some people have upped their tyre pressure on their VRS to between 40-44 cold. Whats are your thoughts Thanks

Hey All Thanks for the input, I will certainly read the owner's manual and look into the oil change further, so that sales guy at the dealership lied to me...the little wa****r -
Fuel Consumption on new VRS

So today we did a bit of town driving to various shops - lost of stop and starts only getting 16.7MPG it has standard Shell Unleaded in the tank, As for the car/engine being driven / run in I asked the dealship twice regarding this and both times they said the Engine is broken in before installed into car. Regarding the oil change - can anyone else confirm this, that I have to have an oil change?? -

Hi Guys I've picked up my new VRS230 today an i leave love it and was enjoying it driving it. but i'm worried about the Fuel Consumpion. Even in eco mode and driving between 70-80 on the motorway the fuel tank guage needle was just moving. left Fareham dealership on quarter tank to Outskirt of Fareham i was on the tip of the red part. Filled full tank at Liphook and drove. took quarter tank to London. after a little addtional driving i'm almost on 1/2 tank Is it normal for a brand new car to be heavy on fuel like this. I know its a VRS but still it can't be that bad Thanks Salim

Hi Guys, I've recently joined this forum and I will be picking up my VRS 230 on Saturday (19/11) from the Dealer, I will be printing the checklist i found on here. But I read else where here that my fellow Briskodians may be willing to help with inspecting the car at the dealer when I pcik it up (2nd pair of eyes wouldnt hurt) - feels a bit strange asking this but if there is anyone available in the Fareham area and theyr're feeling charitable and wouldnt mind helping me make sure everything in the car and under the bonnet is squared away I would be eternally grateful Thanks

Hi All I'm a little green here as I've just recently bought myself a 2012 superb - similar to this http://pictures2.autotrader.co.uk/imgser-uk/servlet/media?id=141bf8c21ab447a69d091c7f8b13dd45 What I want to do is a complete debadge of the car including the skoda badges Bonnet and Tailgate . Can anyone advise on how best to do this. I've found a great post by Chan110 to debadge the so called "engine badges" But what can I do about the actual Skoda badges. How do I remove the skoda badges?? are there any colour coded covers I can put to replace the badges Also what can I do to cover the skoda logo on the alloys - perhaps really stong adhesive silver stickers or something Thanks Salim
