  1. I must have a pin to poke it out somewhere
  2. It's OK. It's not completely working. The washer is dead and I need to find out how to get in there in case it's ****ing screenwash inside the tailgate
  3. New console bushes and a new rear wiper motor
  4. Hi, I just got my 2019 petrol vRS back from the dealer. They sent me a report saying the "fuel bowl is very dirty and the drain hose may be blocked" and asked if I wanted it cleaned for £25. I said yes and got the car back. It's like a completely different car. I was never as happy with this car as my original Mk II as it just seemed to be more boring in the engine department. That is no longer the case. The only thing I know of that's usually called a "fuel bowl" in a petrol engine is on a carb engine so, I don't have one of those. Does anyone know what they likely did to the engine? I'm intrigued now. Thanks, Paul
  5. This one? https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5e0253609g-exhaust-silencer-rear-skoda-40355.html They can't ship it but, at least, the page gives you the part number
  6. Kopacek do some rather nice aftermarket ones, including carbon fibre and stainless. https://www.kopacek.com/skoda/octavia-iii/mirrors/ There are also a number of UK reshipping companies that will take your delivery from Skoda-Parts in the UK then ship it to you in India https://www.google.com/search?q=uk+india+reshipper
  7. Hi, I'm considering installing a dashcam in my 2019 petrol vRS. Which is the best fuse to tap the power off of to get "power when the ignition is on" please? I can't see anything in the fuse list such as "cigar lighter, switched" like my old car used to have. I'm thinking of getting a Viofo A139 Pro as the reviews and footage I've seen from it on various dashcam YouTube channels seem really good. Thanks
  8. Hi, I've recently acquired a 2019 Mk 3 RS245. I really love it but one thing is really driving me nuts about it. When I go into reverse, the rear parking sensors activate and the stereo volume reduces, as expected. However, when I come out of reverse, they remain activated for about 15 seconds or until the car exceeds 10 km/h. I have VCDS, Is there any way to reduce or remove the 15 second hang time where the sensors remain active after disengaging reverse? The constant chirping is really grating. I part up against a wall and it's like having a geiger counter after the apocalypse. What I'd like to happen is for the sensors to disengage and the stereo to return to full volume as soon as I take the car out of reverse, like my Mk II did. I can't find anything that looks relevant in the infotainment menus. Thanks
  9. I'm getting rid of my 2012 Mk II FL vRS on Saturday and replacing it with a 2019 RS245 (both hatchbacks). I've got a boot liner in the vRS. Does anyone know if the boot in the RS245 is the same? I'll keep the liner if it fits the new car or let it go with the vRS if it doesn't Thanks
  10. Hi, I'm intending to change my 2012 MK II vRS hatchback for a 2019 Mk III vRS hatchback at the weekend. My Mk II has a boot liner. Will the Mk II FL boot liner fit the Mk III? If so, I'll keep it. If not, I'll let it go with the car. Thanks
  11. Hi, I'm going to see this car at the weekend. Is its former owner here please? If you are, is there anything I might want to know before buying it? Has it got any performance mods or issues? Thank you
  12. Hi, My rear wiper on my 2012 vRS just stopped working. I checked the fuse and it's fine. My next guess is going to be either the motor itself or, possibly more likely, a broken wire in the wiring bundle from the tailgate to the body. Would anyone have the wire colour list to identify which wire the rear wiper is please? Thanks, Paul.
  13. It's a little more than your budget but have you looked at the Garmin Venu (currently in the sale)?
  14. Glad you found it. If the timing was off, do you know when the last time the cam belt/chain/tensioner were changed? My vRS was getting grumpy on starting. My local independent ran the car over with VCDS and the timing angle was 3 point something degrees out. They inform me that something very bad (replacement engine bad) happens at 5 degrees and the speed of the angle increase goes up as the chain gets more worn. The spec of the tensioner I believe was revised on some engines so you may not have the latest part and it is a worthy improvement. I'm not sure which engine you have but the cam belt replacement interval on my old vRS was 3 years so, if you've had the car for 2.5 years then it could well need doing.
  15. Thank you. One Mann filter and an Autoglym bomb ordered
  16. Hi, It's getting time to replace my cabin air/pollen filter. It got a bit smelly during lockdown and I'm going to aircon bomb the car but I thought I'd replace the filter as well. I see there are several companies that make them including Mann (the factory one IIRC) and Bosch. Would you have any preference for brand please? Thanks, Paul.
