  1. So checked it over last night and discovered that it’s leaking. VW tech came this morning. Common fault apparently. The leak occurs between the water pump and the head. Big job taking the front off apparently. it’s been recovered in for the fix.
  2. Cheers, not worth getting the AA involved then? From what I can gather, it’s a sealed unit that shouldn’t be losing any coolant. I didn’t realise that G13 wasn’t just a VW group thing and that it was readily available at the service station. thanks
  3. Sods law isn’t it. My 245 is going back this week and it was due the 2nd service but I’ve been unable to book in. Then ŠKODA told me it’s fine they’ll take the car back without its 2nd service. This morning the bloody low coolant warning light has come on. It is indeed low. What to do now I have no idea! These things always happen on a Sunday.
  4. 245 due back on 7th of June 24 month deal. I took maintenance and its due a service. I can’t seem to contact anyone to do the service. Tried calling Skoda and it’s just a series of answerphone messages. And advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. That was kind of my point in my earlier post. The 245 may as well be 1000hp, it’s passed the sweet spot and it simply can’t get it’s power down. Forgot that the Golf R came in manual once upon a time. Not driven the other equivalents I’m afraid.
  6. So, who (like me) has been a bit disappointed with their daily drive. Like a stick of rock I’ve got Skoda written through me. I worked at a franchised dealership for 4 years and I was converted from day 1. My last car was an octavia green line 3 estate which was an excellent car and a ‘superb’ all rounder. However, after 2 years of VRS ownership I’ve been a bit underwhelmed. It’s a lovely car but I just feel that it there was a bit more left behind by the ‘set up’ engineers. It just doesn’t put its power (and there is tons of it) down appropriately, most of it just spins away. I just felt I’d feel a bit more ‘in tune’ with it. Just wondered what others opinions are on the subject. Cheers.
  7. Hi 245ers, mine goes back middle of June. I’ve had the letter from BCA and I’ve gone into the site for a price to buy. I’m wondering, if I put a spaceship mileage in, could I potentially get ‘bargain of the year’? 🤔
  8. Morning all, does anyone know the the part number the the alloy wheels? Thanks.
  9. So this happened yesterday whilst parked at work. No no note left of course. I’m soooooooo p______d off. Whoever has done it, knows they’ve done it and with some force!
  10. Hi folks, I’ve been offered some roof bars with this part number, will they fit my mk3 estate? Thanks.
  11. Afternoon all, im struggling to find the ‘stuff for sale’ page. Ive just bought roof cross bars but now need a box. Please help cheers.
  12. Just had mine after several ‘balls ups’ on BCAs part. I estimate about £700 worth of damage on my car. They spotted, nothing. Arrrrr well, hopefully they’ll pick it up with no fuss tomorrow.
  13. Afternoon all, Does the 245 come with Autominous Emergency Braking as standard? Thanks
  14. Does anyone think its worth having Alloy-gators fitted? Thanks
  15. Evening all, So my Greenline 3 is abandoned as I have no break down cover (been waiting 6 months) for my new Octavia to arrive. I've shredded the tyre and wheel and I have no idea what to do to get it recovered and fixed? Please help!
  16. Funny, it's the pricks at Sytner Nottingham where I've witnessed that **** the most!
  17. I've found Mini and BMW Salesman to be the worst. I was actually a Skoda Salesman for 4 years.
  18. Had some good news today. Originally ordered in November (week 21 build). It's been pulled in to week 12.
