  1. Hi, I need to attach onto the lane sensing camera harness. Can anyone help me to understand how to remove the cover? cheers mike
  2. Absolutely correct - I was hoping someone could share it over Google Drive or similar though, not email :)
  3. I've been trying for about 3 days to download the 2020 map update but it keeps failing at about 14GB. The download manager I'm using consistently fails at the same spot. Has anyone got the file they could share? I need HIGH12_P88_ROW_202022.zip.
  4. What MY does the virtual cockpit come in? Haven’t seen this myself.
  5. What’s the coding required to change the delay?
  6. I've just successfully updated using the VW maps (Discovery Pro == Columbus). The Skoda download is missing the truffles folder - whether the USB stick (in my case) was NTFS or FAT32 made no difference, nor did the block size. Briskoda thread: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/453337-map-update/?page=2 VW map download link: https://webspecial.volkswagen.de/vwinfotainment/int/en/index/downloads/maps-download#/
  7. Just an update here. I've been using the Yeaky's for a few days now and the difference is amazing - they are brilliant. I'd love to compare them side by side to LEDs in the FL. 45W ballast + 35W D3S Yeaky 6500K.
  8. The best you've ever driven? Woah. You should try the O3 FL with LEDs. They're pretty good That's true about UV, I checked the lens briefly and it looked the same as other times I've looked at it (which isn't often to be fair). However.. I have made a breakthrough. At the time I replaced my ballasts to 45W, I accidentally ordered three sets of bulbs - 2x Yeaky's (5500k, 6500k) and the Morimotos. I just bought a lux meter and compared the three sets of bulbs. Existing Morimotos (ones I'm saying are too dim): 745 lux Yeakys 5500k: 1320 lux Yeakys 6500k: 1580 lux (?!?!) So it appears I'm not going crazy and the Morimotos have dimmed! Which we know (@aki78 mentioned it in another thread), I just didn't anticipate it would be 50% within a year. I wonder if driving them @ 45W has decreased their lifetime that much more. I've left the 6500k's in (which strangely settled at ~1350 lux the second time I measured them) and they are noticeably fuller and brighter.
  9. Pretty sure. Are you talking about horizontal adjustment? Argh it's all very difficult! I thought you might have cut a hole. I don't want to do that ideally as it will be obvious that I've modified it. I guess I could disable AFS via VCDS so the bulb won't swing - may not need it if the projector allows for enough spread. I was thinking the same thing - I actually drove a FL yesterday and strangely dislike a number of things about it - one of those things ain't the LED headlights! If I was to acquire some Qashqai projectors - implanting them in the O3 headlight enclosure, would I need to dissemble the front of the headlight to get the new projector in, or would it fit from the back? It feels like quite a big job. I have ordered some stroke2 H11 bulbs for the fogs so I'll see how they go. They may settle my burning desire for more lumens (hopefully).
  10. So after some exhaustive research it looks like I have three options. a) 50W Morimoto ballast + 35W or 55W Morimoto D2S bulbs. Difficulty: 5/10. Problems: How to get new ballast wires into + out of headlight assembly. Where to get input for new ballast. Whether to leave old ballast in place. Mormoto 2 Stroke LED D2S. Difficulty: 7/10. Problems: Where to tap into 12V, and how to get driver output wiring into headlight assembly. Pros: 5000 lumens per bulb. Cons: Still uses ****ty OE projector. c) Full Qashqai / BMW bi-LED projector retrofit. Difficulty: 9/10. Problems: Modification of mountings. @xpower What are your thoughts? How did you get the wiring into the headlight from your XB55's when you had them installed (assuming you located it outside due to space)?
  11. Also I see Morimoto offer a number of bulbs - which one did you use? 55W ballast + 50W bulb?
  12. What a traitor! :-) So, how did you work around the rubbing? File down the bulb casing? How did you fit the LED driver inside the headlight enclosure with the AFS machinery, or was it external? Edit: I see now you used a HID ballast, so no LED.
  13. @xpower What about these? http://www.morimotohid.com/d2h-d2s-morimoto-2stroke.html You mentioned a D2s conversion. How would I go about it? I note D2S has the notch in a different place to D3S.
  14. What have you got now, if you got rid of the vRS? Thanks for the suggestions. It all seems very difficult once you get past the ballast + morimoto bulbs..
  15. Hi, I'm growing increasingly dissatisfied with my headlights on my pre-FL O3 vRS. I've performed the ballast+45W HID mod, but they are still not as bright as I'd like. Has anyone got any ideas, or retrofitted LED modules? @xpower perhaps? I hear the LED headlights on the FL are very good. Mike
  16. Awesome thanks. Where does this box sit? Behind the glovebox or in the engine bay?
  17. Are all these still necessary if I don't want park assist, but just the extra sensors, or are they the same thing? What's a PDC box?
  18. Hi, I have front and rear parking sensors on my MY2016 at present, and I notice when you spec park assist you get a few more (maybe 4 more?). Has anyone or does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the extra four (or whatever) sensors to get full surround sensors? Mike.
  19. Mine does something similar. I've not been too concerned...
  20. It's very easy to remove. I've got a 2016 vRS but I assume it's similar on the '17. One large bolt to remove which exposes a further two. Then it lifts upwards and out. Mine is like the video posted earlier.
  21. Yeah it's mini. You have a lot of fuses! Did you also get canton, the sunroof and park assist?
  22. To add to this, DCC can/will adapt based on the current terrain and driving style too. But it still just relates to how the dampening is controlled
