Can anyone help me to understand how to remove my centre console? I want to remove the faux carbon fibre surround which goes around the gear stick to remove some scratches.

Just use a pair of flat bladed panel tools, insert it at the rear of the gearshift cover and pull the cover up.

Disconnect the three electric connectors from the underside of the cover

From underside; use a screw driver to press onto the clips that holds the protective cover around the gear lever and separate the protective cover from the gearshift cover.

Thanks! Managed to get it out, was a bit tricky to get the silver surround out (which holds the leather gear stick protector). Once I managed to figure out which clips I needed to push up with the screwdriver all went OK.

 

In case it helps someone else, here are the clips you need to push up with the screwdriver to remove the surround. Once it's out, rotate it sideways to get the centre console overlay out without removing the gear stick.

 

Out of interest, how do you intend to remove the scratches? I have some scratches on mine too that irritate me highly, and the same on the instrument cluster.

I've removed most of them with a microfibre cloth and some compound.

I am trying to remove gray part around gearbox but not sure where to pull.

I managed to detach it on the front but it seems its not connected to bottom part? I dont want tokeep pulling to break anything.

If I remember correctly you need to remove the gear stick boot first then you can pop out the surround
