Milltek Exhaust on a vRS Diesel?
philrobo replied to JohnnyType2's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Have a look on Facebook for Tony Banks. Custom exhaust fabricator based up in Leeds. He’s done a few diesels which actually sound ok. Recently an Audi 2.0 (think same engine as Skoda?) which will give you a good idea of what to expect -

If you don’t mind me asking how much did the exhaust cost? Looks good

Anyone opted for the service plan offered by the dealers? Got a 65 plate diesel VRS that’s just had its free second service and they’ve offered a service plan. Next 3 services (minor, major, minor) plus 2 MOT’s for £591.84 or £19 a month for 30 months. Not sure if good value for money and what it covers. Going to phone tomorrow and ask for discount but thought I’d see if anyone else has gone for it.

This is the new tuning box supplied by DTUK for the MK3 Octavia VRS 2.0 Diesel. Purchased at the end of April this has really transformed the car. My personal favourite map being Map 1+2. Comes complete, boxed with instructions and original receipt showing that I paid £385.95. The support from the company is great (spent roughly an hour on the phone to them after buying it as they spoke me through the different map settings) and it even comes with the diagram showing how to plug it in and route the wires. http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/vehicle-skoda_octavia_iii-2.0-tdi-184-ps-cr The website link shows the stats for the vehicle. I've decided to go down a differen't route with the car and have the DPF removed and have it live mapped on the rollers to get the best gains, hence the reason for sale. Any questions, photo requests don't hesitate to get in touch. £285 ono with Royal Mail Special Delivery included / Cash on collection - Based in Swindon.

One of Kanes free kicks just flew through my lounge window! Fuming!

I agree with what you're saying partly because once they agree to fix one there could be floods of cases however, now it's been proven to be a manufacturing defect independently isn't it time Skoda bit the bullet and held up their hands, admitted a mistake on their part and reimburse? I would have thought that would look a lot better for their image rather than drag it to court and have a judge decide? Orville - Massive respect to you for taking it this far! Most people including me would have given up by now.

DTUK CRD3+ Fitted 0-60 Video inside!
philrobo replied to KarlO3V5's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I've got one of these fitted to my manual vrs. Settled for map 1 + 2. I was a bit sceptical over it with regards to warranty issues and correct fitting. The support from the guys was superb. Must have spent about an hour on the phone to them asking various questions. Mines been on a month now, no issues -

Military? Anywhere nice? -
Have you thought about the Air Force? I failed the Marine Training for having heart palpatations then went to the RAF. They had me and the training is a LOT easier than Marine training. Anyway you can sign yourself up as a combat medic or failing that any trade that takes your fancy. Once qualified you can volunteer for RAF Mountain Rescue team which you do full time whilst still earning your trade wages. I know a lot of guys that have done / do it and they love it.
