Will the mk4 hatch fit dogs?
I’ve had a 6 stone greyhound happily in the back of my mk 3 no problems so mk 4 will be fine.

Where are all the used vRS 245s?
Enjoy if you can get out anywhere to drive it 😂 It’s a brilliant car and I love mine but with all the lockdowns and home working I’ve only done 1000 miles in it since September. Mind you I’ve enjoyed all of them and even the school run has been a pleasure 👍

New VRS suspension
Agree. My 245 is on 19” and unless the roads are utterly trash it’s a really good ride to me

New VRS suspension
Well that depends on what you feel is firm and only a test drive will tell you. I have the facelift without DCC and love the ride and doing it better than my prefacelift vrs and the Leon FR I had. This is despite reviews saying how hard the ride was. I don’t like overly firm suspension either and it seems ride has been further improved.

Squeaky mouse noise
Thanks both. If it’s suspension bushes is it an issue that means a warranty claim or just something liveable with until I can get a cat?

Squeaky mouse noise
An odd one but my car has started to make a squeaky mouse sound from rear of car only when turning right at speeds over 20 mph but not every time. It’s not loud so not annoying but wondering what to think it could be???

New Octavia 2020 vRS?
I assume then that once battery runs out it’s a weedy 1.4 as well which will be rubbish!

Where are all the used vRS 245s?
Yes mine is only 13000 on 18 plate. Don’t know if it helps but mine is the 245 DSG edition and I paid £19000 and just missed another that was up for just under £20000. In September they were all up for around that on 18 plates for the edition model. Apparently it’s a bit rarer than stock 245 but doubt that makes much difference price wise.

Where are all the used vRS 245s?
There were lots up in September and October and they sold very quickly and I bought one of them. I noticed that after that numbers have dwindled.

New Octavia 2020 vRS?
you read my mind! The black 18s look better but still not befitting of a sports saloon. Mind you I’m not that keen on UK 19s with the grey rather than black inserts like on my 245.

New Octavia 2020 vRS?
Funny how we are all so different. I thought the noise inside was too quiet and would have liked some more drama. Then again I like the sound in my 245 and wish it was louder with a few pops and farts from exhaust.

New Octavia 2020 vRS?
Agreed. As much as I love my 245 I miss the electronic handbrake from my old Leon. I don’t do handbrake turns so don’t need a manual handbrake and it makes the car feel more old fashioned inside than it is.

Paint repair
Yes it’s certainly possible but cost and amount of work depends on where it is and how easy to blend paint on a smart repair or if body shop job. Best getting some smart repair quotes. I’ve just had a smart repair on a massive scratch on my door above the swage line on door. Cost £180 as a hard job to blend of which I was warned and took two goes to get right. Really it was a body shop job but I wanted to try smart repair first.

vRS Limited options available at Launch
Well as I said in my opinion but seeing how popular black wheels are now as standard I guess I’m not alone 😀

Kamiq Is It For You
Yep lots of issues reported on Seatcupra.net on hesitancy in this 1.5 engine and it’s a well known issue. Quite a few have pursued rejection of earlier build. Apparently there has been a software update but still not everyone feels it’s resolved the engine issues. Well worth checking with dealer as they will know about it.

Interior a massive step up and love those seats! Not keen on new wheels and they would be better in black gloss rather than diamond cut anthracite IMO.

Kamiq Is It For You
Well conversely after coming from a Seat Leon my wife adores this and finds it plenty high enough. Lane assist is far less intrusive than the Leon too. Horses for corses.

Electrical gremlins
They were 40 psi rather than recommended 36.
-
Electrical gremlins
Thanks wondered about that and it would mean it came like that new from dealer although I’ve checked daily and no change so far but I’ll ask dealer to also check.
-
Electrical gremlins
Lovely car but a few irritating electrical gremlins that the dealer needs to fix. The tyre pressure sensor comes on every drive and needs resetting each time and the gear change indicator display is having a disco constantly flickering on and out and showing random gear change numbers. Hopefully an easy dealer fix but anyone else had this?

Amundsen Infotainment screen
Lovely thanks. No white tabs so this must be correct then. 👍

Amundsen Infotainment screen
Thanks. Yes tried it and nothing coming up easily and worried if I try too hard I’ll damage it and my wife will be gunning for me lol! If people have clearer screens than this I’ll be more enthusiastic about removal.

Amundsen Infotainment screen
My wife has just bought a Kamiq se and the screen to me looks like it has a screen protector on it being slightly opaque rather on the black touchscreen buttons than clear black glass but I don’t want to scratch it if I am wrong. On my VRS the screen surround is obviously glass and a sharper image. With no other Kamiq screen to compare against anyone any thoughts/pictures to compare please. Cheers.

Real world VRS economy
On a 245 vrs I get 36 to low 40 on a run. High 20s on short trips and driving in a spirited fashion. Diesel on mainstream cars on the way out IMO as well as not that much fun. I’ve had diesel vrs in mk2 and never again as petrol so much more fun and not too expensive to run .
