Thank you. Would you have any idea how much effort it would be to fix this if it is a simple electrical fault? Or if it's even worth fixing. Doesn't bother me too much to be honest.

Hi all The speedometer and rev counter on my fabias dashboard suddenly started becoming very notchy, but gives a correct reading nonetheless. it also makes quite a loud clicking noise when moving up or down. Has anybody encountered this before and may have an idea about what may be broken?

Thanks I have ordered a new one to try, but my starter motor is making a sort of grinding noise which is making me suspicious of something else

It seems to not start immediatly after its been driven. Cold starts are usually ok

I'd say normal speed, didn't notice anything out of the ordinary

I'm having an intermittent issue where my fabia 04 won't start, it almost catches on but then just splutters out. Happened last night, and no luck after about 10 attempts. Funny thing is the next day it starts first time! Took it to my mechanic, and he just scratched his head, he even checked for fault codes, but none. Any ideas? Perhaps starter motor? Dodgy battery?

Doing a lot of searching on the Internet I found people who had attempted to alter the settings on vcds, more often than not they were making it heavier steering though. I think I'm in a relatively small minority wanting x light steering.

I just got back from the garage and they're telling me I need an entire new steering rack! i can't possibly see how that's the case!

Hello all, I just wanted to let people be aware if they intend to change the steering weight code via vcds then proceed with caution as after making mine lighter, my Fabias steering rack started leaking massively,I don't know why this would happen, but I can see a pretty hefty bill for the repair. I would guess the reason is that the increased load on the system found a weak point somewhere, and something blew up! Unless anybody else has any other ideas?
