My ex-line manager had a Nissan Qashqai but couldn't afford to run it (he was on PCP, changed his job and went from doing 100 miles a week to 700 miles a week so would have been majorly screwed over when the PCP expired). So it sat on the drive Mon-Fri.
He took the thing out on a Saturday evening and everything died on him while he was sat in a drive-thru at the local McDonalds. Almost caused a riot because he simply couldn't do anything, couldn't release the handbrake and push the thing out of the way of all those hungry punters just craving their Zinger Meal.
Crazy.

The Government of the day must either (a) carry out the wishes of those who voted in the aforesaid referendum (i.e leave) or (b) accept the consequences of not doing so.
And, with regards to (b), I am a white male who has been employed continuously since leaving school in 1980 and who hasn't received so much as a parking ticket.
But cross me on the referendum result and I'll be out on the streets of Westminster with my pitchfork and torch. Traitor's Cloister might need to start advertising for new staff......

From reading the news today, the PM could call an election with what appears to be a polling date before October 31, then use prerogative powers to move the polling day out until after the Brexit deadline.
Making a No Deal Brexit a fait accompli irrespective of how the election turns out!

Nothing to do with superiority and everything to do with common sense.
For example, why should someone who has never worked a day in their life get to vote for a party that promises to increase income tax by 20% and give all of the extra revenue to those who don't work?

If you live in "a white bubble" as my brother-in-law does, how would you have the slightest inking as to the plight of your average inner-city citizen?
I'm not trying to be controversial here, it's just plain common sense.........we had Polish neghbours a few years ago and they do like to play loud music at unearthly hours. When the PM of the day stands up at PMQs and says "hey, before we start, I just want to say I didn't get much sleep last night, the neighbours next door were having a party so forgive me if my answers are crap" then I'll believe that the system is working.

Oh, trust me, her advice is *very* cathartic. Only today at my gym I managed to release my emotions (via the medium of the aforesaid screwdriver) on the she-male who'd parked right next to me even though 75% of the car park was empty.

When I was in my early teens I bought a super-whizzy receiver because I thought it would mean I could listen to cricket broadcasts from around the world. I was mad on cricket in my very mis-spent youth.
However, I subsequently learned that you can't, for example, listen to commentary on Jamaica vs Barbados because the broadcast is meant only for local consumption and so the footprint output is sized accordingly.
The guy in the shop never told that to me, mind you, when he sold me this mega-expensive unit.
And all I ever managed to pick up on my "rig" seemed to be middle aged women telling "you brown bear" to "ignore the cotton choppers, watch out for Miss Piggy and those other smokeys and bring it all on, big boy".
I think it was all lonely housewives and truckers but I'm still not sure.
And I think I'd rather die in ignorance.

It really is a totally different world to the one in which the rest of us live. So I kind of sympathise with lol-lol because he/she genuinely has no clue about the plight of your average Brit......as per my brother in law, as long as he can pitch up at his friendly local on an evening, have a game of cribbage with a couple of ladies from the local WI and then wander back home nice and safely without *any* fear of being mugged then all is right in good old Blighty.
Do you know, my brother in law has never tasted Chinese food for the simple reason that the village doesn't possess such a takeaway?
And these people's vote carries exactly the same weight as mine FFS!

(The fleet manager at one of my old companies used to get exactly that - a top of the range "demonstrator" model (with fuel card) for his own personal use as long as the company purchased x fleet vehicles from the manufacturer per year......win-win for the fleet manager because officially his employer wasn't providing him with a company car so zero BIK tax for him).

The rest of your post is factually incorrect but this bit is right.
It emanates from our failures in sport; we lost but it was never because we just weren't good enough.......the penalty spot wasn't bright enough, the corner flag was in the wrong place, that sort of thing.
This summer's cricket has been glorious.....Steve Smith shouldn't even be playing for Australia, he should have been banned for life for cheating blah blah. The same people shouting loudest are the ones who would never google "Mike Atherton dirt in pocket", for example, because "ah but that was different". 🙄
To finish with a smile: how can you tell when a plane full of Poms lands in Sydney? The whining goes on long after the engines have stopped.

There was actually a quite serious debate at my last place of work where people were asked "you have to do one of these, would you rather drink a pint of semen or a pint of menstrual blood?"
I've often wondered whether everyone else is normal and I'm the oddball but at that moment I realised that, yes, I *am* the normal one.

No option to order a spare wheel when I ordered mine (March 2019)? Which was the one downside, a can of whipped cream isn't going to help me at 3a.m in January when I'm stranded on the M25 in pouring rain.
I've toyed with the idea of buying a 20" Xtreme and getting a tyre on it but is there room in the back to stow it?

I ordered my VRS at the end of March and despite being told 20-22 weeks for delivery it was in the UK by the end of May.
From a legal perspective, my order form stated a delivery date of 02/09/2019 and if you read the small print you'll find you can only wriggle out of the contract if they fail to deliver by that date.
The cynical part of me wonders whether dealers artificially inflate the ETA to avoid such events 🙄

Yes, revenue via broadcasting rights from Sky are great if you're stupid enough to subscribe to Sky and pay £75 a month for their television "service" but it's an unsustainable long-term business model.
This sort of revenue needs to be channelled down to the smaller clubs and then if the likes of Manchester United want to pay their players those kinds of salary then they need to recoup it via other means.
