I used a Halfords fuse-tap and just picked up a permanent feed from the fuse box, the sub also has a power switch feed which I picked up the same way but via an ignition fed position.

As I have now parted company with the VRS this Kenwood subwoofer is available for sale. £75 posted to UK

I think you should have gone for a higher spec perhaps?
Agree with a lot of your points but it reinforces for me why I like my VRS, super supportive seats, Auto adaptive LED headlights are stunning, great audio setup in the facelift version, climate contol is very effective. I like these extra things, they keep me interested.

To fuse box so easy

It was fine but chrome piece broke up as it came off
-
Result, well done.
Are you pleased with the sound?
-
Brown block is definitely the speakers, top and bottom row are rear I think from memory and middle four front
-
I tapped into rears, no obvious effect on overall. Guess it must have some effect on the impedance but I can’t tell.

Super Skoda supply the set at a great price, are these genuine Skoda items that require no modifications?
Yes I bought some recently, genuine parts, perfect fit, takes about 5 mins per corner (if you have a right angle scredriver/ratchet)

Pressurising coolant used to be a classic symptom of head gasket failure, needs checking ASAP

Does your Vrs have the Silver PacK ? Crome Grill surround, Crome window strips and 19" Silver Extrems.
I think the the silver wheels are a no cost option from the Factory. Black is the Standard fitting I believe
So mine has black roof rails and window surrounds with silver extremes from factory. It had the chrome grille surround which I changed to black along with the mirror caps, very happy with how it all looks now.

It’s the future #teamsilverextremes

Can’t understand why you can’t spec it now, VRs comes with cloth! Mine has the upgraded heated leather and alcantara and it’s really nice.

Well I never quite believed that speakers need to be run in but the Kenwood sub certainly does. It has loosened up massively and is now able to put out some fantastic powerful low bass notes
So it it really does improve with time, the sound is phenomenal now for such a small unit.
One of of the best value for money products I have bought for a long time.

Glad you got it done.
Loving mine, as you say it’s no substitute for a full boot mounted boxed sub and amp but really does enhance the standard system nicely.

It's also not very clean, is it brand new??
-
That's appalling that someone hasn't spotted/rectified that.
It will be an easy repair though (not the point I agree) so whilst you could ask for a full bumper you should also be asking for a decent compensation offer, of a full set of mats, a service plan or something similar.
Refuse to accept the car unless you get what you want!

It's not the easiest of menus to find,
Menu
Settings
Bluetooth
Paired Devices
Then you will see any paired devices and there is a delete option against each
-
If you go into the 'car' settings and 'bluetooth' via the main screen you can delete the previously stored phones, I would do that for starters

My 2018 VRS also has a rattle from the passenger door, almost a 'buzz' that is worse dependent on road surface. How easy is it to remove the door panel as I am worried about breaking clips!
Could book in to dealer to look at but it;s a hassle

Velcro to grip the carpet is all you need, no drilling or fixing. Holds it fine.
