  1. I get the same message every now and again (only for the right headlight) and like you it always sorts itself when next started. Never have got to the bottom of it.
  2. I have a 2018 Sportline with just rear sensors/camera, no fronts and get on fine.
  3. Is it a piggyback fuse? If so can you switch it to another ignition switched fuses and see if that fixes the issue? I'd have to double check, but I think I piggy backed mine to the rear wiper fuse.
  4. Coming back to this. I've tried multiple phones (mine/wife's/daughter's) and various good cables, but still nothing. I'm convinced it's the car unit where the problem is. Checking if there is an update, but it's not saying there is when searching. It should be ready for a service soon (just clicked over 35.000 miles) so will get the dealer to have a look and feedback here.
  5. There's a tick box in setting/wipers/auto rear (or something like that)
  6. Phones are a Sony XZ3 and Apple iPhone8 which have Android Auto and Carplay installed. Both have worked fine in the recent past and both are being connected with genuine leads which again have worked in the recent past. The only thing that has changed is that in the meantime, both phones have had software updates. Both phones have bluetooth and are connected to the car at all times for calls etc.
  7. Odd one here. I generally use the Columbus sat nav with my phone providing data for traffic flow. But as that's not as good as Google maps live data, I'll use that via Android Auto if I have a tight deadline to meet. So, the other day I had the need to use Google maps so plugged my phone (Sony XZ3) in to the USB, but nothing, it was as if there was no phone connected even though it was providing power to the phone still. Odd, so tried my work phone (iphone 8 ) and the same. Both cables are genuine items that have always worked in the past. Any ideas where to look to try and diagnose the issue here? TIA
  8. Odd one here, and wondered if anyone has had the same. Yesterday all the stored radio stations vanished, in the way that they would in the good old days after a flat battery. The car hasn't had a flat battery, they were all there first thing when I took my lad to school, popped out at lunch and all the storage blocks were blank. Very odd. Edit to add: Columbus 10.1
  9. As in the automotive glazing companies. We've had to deal with it from day one, so have all the equipment and trained staff, charging a lot less than dealers do.
  10. The camera mounted behind the windscreen has it's own little heater pad to ensure the aperture is always clear of misting. For calibrations of cameras and radar sensors, come to the aftermarket. We've been onto this long before the dealers were.
  11. I'll put my question here rather than starting a new thread. My car's over a year old so the connect has expired. I received emails at the time, but didn't get around to extending it. Now that I've finally pulled my finger out and got around to renewing, I can't for the life of me work out how to. I've logged into the portal, but can't see anywhere to renew. Anyone else been through this?
  12. Two questions, sort of related. I'm having "fun" getting a reliable WLAN connection through my phone. I'll have my hotspot on, and in settings confirm the phone is connected, but I only sometimes get the white world with WLAN illuminated and then the subsequent traffic flow info in my sat nav. I have the phone connected to the USB port. But, if I have it unplugged from the USB it is much more reliable a connection. However this mean the phone isn't being charged, so if I then plug the phone into a generic 12v socket in the cigar plug (doesn't matter if it's either the front or back one) the DAB signal is blocked. I hope that makes sense.
  13. There are holes on the inside of the door openings which pins locate in to.
  14. So, it was in for service today, and unsurprisingly, it is not classed as a warranty. The question I actually asked them was their thoughts on how VW would class it at the end of lease. If it's this worn 10 months in, how worn will it be after three years? and will I be penalised for it? Their suggestion was to put some sort of cover over it because, yeah, I went for the Sportline to cover the seats up........ At least it's on record that I asked it to be looked at on it's first service.
