Might be an urban myth... But I have read a couple of times in a Swedish Skoda Facebook group lately that some modern VAG cars drag or apply the brakes intermittently when rain is detected by the rain sensors. Sounds a bit crazy but might explain the premature rotors/pads wear in wet climates like UK/Sweden? Haven't been able to find any info/threads on English that confirm its true...

New 19” tyres required, which ones

Im in the same boat / looking to replace my P7's when I change back to summer tires. Was leaning towards the P Zero PZ4 after reading this review: https://www.evo.co.uk/tyre-reviews/18309/best-car-tyres-evo-performance-tyre-test But just saw that Michelin have released the Pilot Sport 5: https://www.evo.co.uk/news/204555/michelin-pilot-sport-5-ultra-high-performance-tyre-now-available -
Not the ENAYAQ (and in Slovakian) but the ID.3 looks pretty promising in the snow... -

Yeah - Pity none of the (cheaper) VAG PHEVs are 4x4... Plan A is to buy our car at the end of the lease or maybe a V60 B5 AWD. Plan B would be going electric but not sure if I should downsize to an ID.3, wait for an ENYAQ RS or save up for a Polestar 2! PS - I missed this 272 vs V90 - Fifth Gear Shootout on Fith Gear earlier this year: -

Some info from Sweden. It's already possible to order the 60 and 80 and first deliveries are expected around March/April next year. Starting prices are approx £39k for the 60 and £48k for the 80. The 80 comes with a lot more 'std' equipment... Pretty expensive but you do get about £5-6k back from the government! It doesn't sound like it will be possible to order the 80x or RS until early next year and not delivered until Q3 2021!

Nice to see this thread pop up again! I was called into my dealer last week because my lease is up next May. So they were trying to sell me either a new Superb (iV) or an Enyaq... Unfortunately they have quietly killed the 272 option here in Sweden. Something to do with CO2's... So if anyone is keen to order a new one they might want to check if the same thing will be happening soon where you live!

These are the specs I found when I was looking into it: Normal ride height: 149 mm (+/-20 mm) DCC ride height: 139 mm (+/-20 mm) Sport suspension ride height: 134 mm (+/-20 mm) As far as I know when you spec DCC on the Sportline is ends up 5mm higher than it is without DCC so its probably the same hardware as the L&K.

Definitely a bit worried. I had an E-Golf courtesy car for a couple of weeks last winter and it was ok with winter tires. Just an annoying amount of wheel spin with all of that electric torque. Was quite a bit worse than the mk7 golf we had before the Superb. Im hoping the RWD and extra weight of the batteries will cure that. Also hoping I can do a winter test drive in the ID.3 before I need to order anything. We need to back up quite a steep drive way to our house so it would be a bit of a hassle if it cant manage that I guess I could wait for the Enyaq 80x (or RS) but think they are going to be way more than what I would like to spend so would most likely try to keep the Superb until something else is available...

Im trying to decide if we should replace our Superb with an Enyaq or an ID.3 when the lease is up. Price for the ID.3 (58kwh) Life and Enyaq 60 are pretty much the same here in Sweden but you get a few nice extras (like faster charging, heatpump) with the ID.3. It's also a bit faster and has more range since it smaller/lighter/more power. I have driven the ID.3 a couple of weeks ago and had a sit in the Enyaq 80 last week. My impressions were that the ID.3 feels a bit more modern/minimal inside. Especially with the gear selector on the steering wheel and head-up display... The Enyaq felt a lot more luxury! Almost feels like they are aiming it more at Volvo etc. and VW is going to be the more basic option. The Enyaq seemed even bigger than I expected... Not much shorter than superb but much taller and bulkier. Rear seat room was a bit disappointing. Much less than Superb and didn't seem like much (if anything) more than the ID.3! At the moment im leaning toward the ID.3. 90% of the time we are just driving around the neighbourhood so a smaller car will be easier and I would rather have a few more of the tech gadgets and the more modern/minimal interior/controls. Will definitely miss the big Superb boot sometimes but it's not that often that we fill it completely. I just need to double check how well the bike rack situation is on the ID.3. Looks like it sits much higher than a normal towbar and 3/4 bikes might be pushing it... Hopefully I have a chance to see the ID.4 soon!

Some new sketches of the exterior and video here: https://www.carscoops.com/2020/08/2021-skoda-enyaq-ivs-exterior-design-teased-in-official-sketches/ Really curious how the prices will compare to the ID.3...

Ran mine until fuel was about as low as I dared to go... Filled it up and was a bit surprised to get over 68L into what I thought was a 66L tank! Has anyone manage more than that or am i being ripped off 🙂 The indicated remaining range was 20kms so it must have had at least a litre in the tank... -
Yeah - All seems like guesswork at the moment. The Auto Bild link near the top of article thinks it might be Diesel only! https://www.autobild.de/artikel/skoda-octavia-rs-2020-combi-vorschau-illustration-design-motor-16144289.html Im just hoping for petrol and 4x4... The 272 from the Superb would be perfect.
