  1. Nice car, i would love those leather seats in my fabia
  2. If someone would have the same or similar issue and come upon this thread in the future, the POLO shifter is the right one = (29) 6Q0711061(housing) and (13) 1J0711112E (gearshift lever with correct bushes). There are of course several other cars that use the same mechanism.
  3. The ball pivot is too large,, instead i need the older design shift mechanism, as you can see here they changed from this: http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk1/power_transmission/gearbox_0a8/gearbox_mechanicsoperation_constructiondiff./repairing_gearshift_lever_and_shift_housing/repairing_gearshift_lever_and_shift_housing_up_to_05.06/ too this (as in picture above): http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk1/power_transmission/gearbox_0a8/gearbox_mechanicsoperation_constructiondiff./repairing_gearshift_lever_and_shift_housing/repairing_gearshift_lever_and_shift_housing_as_of_06.06/ My 2007 vrs has the newer design. Thanks to Dark_hero Charlie i know that the old design is a straight fit, as a friend to him had done the same to a SE- version. I have found this 2006, 6 speed POLO gear selector https://www.bildelsbasen.se/?link=item&searchmode=3&query=6Q0711061&post_id=19088047 (its in swedish) but all information they write is: 6Q0711061. However am i right in saying this is the old design shift mechanism iam looking for, shared between VAG cars and also the VRS, or am i missing something? http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/PO/year/2006/drive_standart/461/hg_ug/711/subcategory/711030/part_id/4434754/lang/w http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/FAB/year/2007/drive_standart/453/hg_ug/711/subcategory/711030/part_id/3290389/lang/w
  4. Sorry about this useless picture but my camera is old. Im in the process of replacing my gear shift with a b&m one, but i am unsure about how to disassembly this unit. How do i disconnect the shift arm pivot (retaining clip?)? Iam also unsure about the plastic pivot bushing, normally i have seen a top plate with torx screws but this one looks different. Grateful for any help
  5. well thats great news, please let me/us know when you have tried it
  6. Does anyone know if b&m 45114 is the only quickshifter that works with the fabia mk1? https://www.ebay.com/itm/B-M-Sportschalthebel-VW-Beetle-Bora-Golf-IV-Polo-9N/282776893503?epid=1125308611&hash=item41d6d0f83f:g:NTkAAOSwFe5X17s8 There is a lot of cheap hong kong stuff aswell but no idea if that would work.
  7. Yes i am worried about the front lower brace, thats the main reason why i decided to ask in here first. I have seen this problem before with other manufacturers, i believe omp or momo also made a brace that when mounted was dangerously close to the ground.
  8. I have already started a thread about this in another part of the forum but its probably better to ask in here. I have searched a bit but havent found much info. on Ultra Racing and no one seems to have fitted their braces to a Fabia, seems a few have fitted the rear ARB they make. But does anyone have any experience with UR productline for MK1 Fabia vrs (?): http://srbpower.com/products/ultra-racing-front-lower-brace-skoda-fabia-mk1-1-9-tdi-vrs-2003-2007-la4-1171.html http://srbpower.com/products/ultra-racing-rear-lower-brace-skoda-fabia-mk1-1-9-tdi-vrs-2003-2007-rl2-1173.html http://srbpower.com/products/ultra-racing-mid-lower-brace-skoda-fabia-mk1-1-9-tdi-vrs-2003-2007-ml4-1172.html As i said, they also make a front and rear ARB for the MK1.
  9. Ok i will start a new thread there. I will check them out, not very comfortable speaking english though, might send them an email.

När det gäller kablar från motorrummet, hade inget bättre för mig kanske kan detta hjälpa https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/376872-run-amplifier-powercable-engine-to-boot/ "Remove the battery and behind it you will find a huge gromit. I have 4 50mm2 cables running through it. The trim has ample room to run cable under too. When you get to the rear seats you will find that to get it into the boot you will need to run the cable through a little gap by the seat belt clips which goes into the raised metal area at the seat base then out one of the holes into the boot" Laddar upp en bild till :P
  13. My Fabia. Next step is to repaint the brake calipers and rust repairs, rear bumper also needs some attention.
