  2. If someone would have the same or similar issue and come upon this thread in the future, the POLO shifter is the right one = (29) 6Q0711061(housing) and (13) 1J0711112E (gearshift lever with correct bushes). There are of course several other cars that use the same mechanism.

Thanks to Dark_hero Charlie i know that the old design is a straight fit, as a friend to him had done the same to a SE- version. I have found this 2006, 6 speed POLO gear selector https://www.bildelsbasen.se/?link=item&searchmode=3&query=6Q0711061&post_id=19088047 (its in swedish) but all information they write is: 6Q0711061.   4. Sorry about this useless picture but my camera is old. Im in the process of replacing my gear shift with a b&m one, but i am unsure about how to disassembly this unit. How do i disconnect the shift arm pivot (retaining clip?)? Iam also unsure about the plastic pivot bushing, normally i have seen a top plate with torx screws but this one looks different. Grateful for any help

  7. Yes i am worried about the front lower brace, thats the main reason why i decided to ask in here first. I have seen this problem before with other manufacturers, i believe omp or momo also made a brace that when mounted was dangerously close to the ground.

I have searched a bit but havent found much info. on Ultra Racing and no one seems to have fitted their braces to a Fabia, seems a few have fitted the rear ARB they make.     Ja det är en pigg liten bil, knappast en motorvägsmissil, men riktigt rolig att köra på kurviga landsvägar där man kan pressa den lite. Det var därför jag valde APs sportsats och inte coilovers, väldigt bra kvalité också med tanke på priset. Men visst, är det ojämn körbana så märks det tydligt, då blir det stötigt, men enligt mig är det värt det. När det gäller kablar från motorrummet, hade inget bättre för mig kanske kan detta hjälpa https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/376872-run-amplifier-powercable-engine-to-boot/ "Remove the battery and behind it you will find a huge gromit. I have 4 50mm2 cables running through it. The trim has ample room to run cable under too. When you get to the rear seats you will find that to get it into the boot you will need to run the cable through a little gap by the seat belt clips which goes into the raised metal area at the seat base then out one of the holes into the boot" Laddar upp en bild till :P

    Nu kan jag ju inte Octavian så bra och vad du vill spendera på bil och verktyg men man kan ju hämta mycket inspiration på detta forumet, men att börja med att fixa till fälgarna med plastidipp är väl bra, sen kanske du vill sänka lite och sen bara fortsätter det och tar aldrig slut :D. Jag håller också med om att laga är bättre än att byta ut, vi får se vad dem säger. Jag har tyvärr inga bilder just nu men jag ska försöka ta några i helgen och ladda upp, har problem med mobilkameran men ska se om det går.

    Jag plastidippade fälgarna på min förra fabia med just svart, det blev överraskande bra och hållbart. 19000 mil är ju inte så farligt med tanke på årsmodell. Mina fjädrar-stötdämpare är utbytta mot AP sport som sänker runt 35mm. Whiteline krängningshämmare bak. Länkarmar utbytta till helt nya samt bakre och främre bussning på dessa till något hårdare gummi och kraftigare stabilisatorstag. Kör med Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 (med Yokohama Parada däck). Standard laddluftkylare ersatt med Seat sport frontmonterad med Darkside developments aluminium tryckrör, turbon utbytt mot hybrid pd150 och sen mappad, Blir en helt annan körglädje med ett utspritt vridmoment, så den drar hela vägen till varvtalsstoppet och kommer ännu mer vid +3000 varv, dieslarna är ju rätt tråkiga annars med sin ketchup effekt. Sen har det varit en massa småsaker som grillnät, OMP Trecento ratt (som gör överraskande mycket för körglädjen) osv. Blir byte till kraftigare koppling ifall denna börjar slira.

    Tråkigt med din motor, hoppas det löser sig någorlunda smärtfritt. Köpte min Fabia förra sommaren och den har snart gått 11900 mil. När jag köpte den hade den väl gått runt 11400 mil kör inte speciellt mycket, mest eftersom jag bor så nära jobbet och ganska centralt så blir mest att man går. Hur långt har din gått? Funderat på att modifiera eller liknande?

    Det ser inte så bra ut. Man blir mest hånad. Synd att här inte är fler svenskar. Kör själv en något modifierad Fabia vrs- 07 som jag lagt ner en del jobb på, en riktigt rolig liten bil med tanke på vad man investerat, även om jag lagt ner en del jobb på den. Dessutom en relativt ovanlig bil. Nästa jobb innefattar ännu en gång att få bort rost :(. Ska försöka ladda upp lite bilder någon dag. Hur går Octavian? Aldrig åkt en sån.
  19. I will go with this alternative instead (ASZ stage1). Seems good enough for what im looking to do with my car. Does new gaskets come with turbo? I will buy a new oil feed line from darkside.
  20. Hi again. The thing is, i might want to go slightly higher in the future, but at that time i t might be better to buy another unit. What would you otherwise recommend as a smaller bolt on hybrid unit where egr- valve will be kept on a Fabia Vrs BLT Engine, and 200 HP as final goal

About to buy this turbo from xman. just curious if anyone else has this turbo and how its working. fitment obviously shouldnt be an issue. from what i understand i only need other diameter silicone boost pipes? otherwise it should be plug and play. Is other MAP sensor recommended? I will only run around 200 HP.

  23. With different words, do all fabias mk1 use the same rear calipers (except for those models that use drum brakes)?
