Right some reason it's working lol,but I left the door pin out drivers door that can stay like that now.till the electric window mechanism get fitted

So when all passenger doors are locked, I plug in the door lock as soon as that is in all the passenger doors unlock then I can't lock them with the remote or key outside but the button in the car does, the remote only unlocks. Soon as I unplug the lock, the passenger doors all lock and the remote locks and unlocks them all apart from drivers door.

You talking about the electrical plug on the bottom of the locking unit if so then yes as when plugged it in, it made the locks move but not the drivers lock.

Hi, just a quick question. My window has dropped so I wedged it up. Took door card of and metal inner too, to have a look and its the cable snapped so now I know what I need. Trying to get it all back together especially the door pin staying in the locking unit whilst fitting the metal inner. Now it's all back together the central locking is only operating all passenger doors and have to unlock and lock drivers door manually with the key, also when manually using key it don't lock/unlock all the other doors.

Trying to undo the engine cover and the bolt under the skoda badge just keeps spinning lol

Also seems to only do it under load. If rev in neutral it don't make the noise

Anyone have a link to these. I have the levers there but no indication to which is which, I do know which does what but I'm a bit ocd and i would like to get them. Also the nipple on rear washer on the 3rd rear brake light has broken off so the water squirts out backwards. Any link to 1 of these too

Ok cool will have a look on the weekend. It's like a deep induction noise when ya go full beans acceleration but noise dies down towards end of the revs in the gears

I have a skoda 1.4 8v mpi and when accelerating hard i get a loud induction noise like it has a after market cone filter on it, but it's got a standard airbox and filter in. Does anyone else have this noise too.

Sorry forgot to mention its 1.4 mpi. It's cam chain.

I had a slight leak coming from behind the water pump pulley last week but it seems to have stopped now I have brought a new waterpump. I dunno if previous owner had put some stuff in it to seal the leak and when I topped up coolant it's sealed again. But I'm gonna have a go at doin the water pump tomorrow and was wondering what size sockets, spammers and torx sockets I will need. Never got round to doing anything on it the weekend as was fitting a kitchen for a friend. Found this on ebay and was wondering if it is the right 1 as its half the price than ECP was wondering if the fabia combi(6y5) is the estate, I have messaged them but got a auto-reply saying they would respond in 1-2days. Although last night I did remove the old alternator from then car.

Easier replacing with new alternator then, it's looks pretty dirty the alternator anyway and looking in the handsome the wires look green and cruddy

Yea can see the plug into alternator and the the other small connection at the bottom of the engine too from under the bonnet. Unplugged the alternator plug with blue and brown/red and run a wire from blue to earth point, turnt ignition on then the battery light came on.

I'm gonna do that tomorrow or Sunday. Best starting from alternator and working back? Maybe giving it a wiggle here and there

Ok so have just been to the car and when turn the ignition on no battery light illuminates. Everything else comes on then goes off.

This is getting really technical for me now. So I will check the blue wire coming out the 2pin plug for loose connection in the plug. Also when battery is charged from its trickle charge I will see if battery light comes on when ignition is on and then goes out or weather it don't come on at all when ignition is turnt on. You guys are so helpful, I'm getting myself so stressed out lol. Most prob end up being something simple.

I'm not getting the red battery light come on, it's only managed to come on for split second then again when was at home on the same journey the other day when it was totally flat. I'm gonna get a new alternator SEPULCHRAVE hopefully it's that. Poiutyre111, is that the wire that has a small wire coming off it before it disappears under the battery tray. Have you got a link please to the pics. Gonna go mad with cleaning all the connections for battery and alternator this weekend too.
