  1. Looking at the superb manual, it's written that this message came when the trailer isn't fully opened or fully closed (swivel model, like golf mk7 ect ...), this can explain also why I was needing the additional wire. So I think I should change some parameter to tell the control unit is for manual trailer operation (no swivel), found nothing in coding neither in adaptation. I need to tell the control unit it's a PR code 1D2 instead of 1D4. Maybe it's some parameter to upload, can be done with VCP ? If someone is having any idea...
  2. Even after fixing this error, by adding another +12V (Terminal 30) to pin 1 on the six pin connector, I'm still having a big warning message with strident tone on my Instrument cluster saying to check the Trailer... I don't know what I can do anymore, no other errors apart the Reverse Camera calibration... If anyone is having any idea....
  3. Hi guys, I've retrofitted a Trailer bar to my Octavia mk3 (100% OEM parts). Everything went well except the electronic part. I've fitted the Skoda Original wiring Harness for O3. I've set-up all my fuses. I think I've correctly coded all other control unit (engine, park assist ect...). I got one remaining error in Trailer. And got a big error while switching ignition ON. I've tried lot of different coding for Trailer, but the error remains... EDIT : I checked the values for terminal 30 inside the control unit, I just found one strange thing (Voltage from engine) : Should there be a wire coming from the engine ? I can't find any on Erwin schema. Note : I doubled-check my fuses and they are all OK, fitted in correct original place (100% like OEM wiring). PS : complete scan attached LogErreurTrailer.txt
  4. Retrofitting EBP shouldn't be a big problem, btw the O3 FL doesn't have EBP if I'm correct ? From what I know, only ABS break unit should be upgraded in order to support new camera & new ACC. Regarding component protection yes I know it's a big problem, but it could be fixed with the dealer...
  5. Hello guys, I'm opening this thread to speak with skilled guys who might have done some retrofit of front assistants. I'm owning a vRS Octavia III non FaceLift. I'm currently thinking of retrofitting the ACC sensor and the multifunction front camera (lane assist etc). But, what I would like is the most advanced ACC (at least ACC high (up to 210km/h) and at the most advanced camera). In this way I would like to install the camera from the Superb 3 (or passat B8 ect ..), which is now installed on the Octavia III FaceLift, this camera has the ability to recognize pedestrians ect. The think which "could" be a problem is that the new camera hasn't the same shape, but it shouldn't be a problem since the O3 FL has a new windshield including the new camera support (Both non-FL and FL have the same windshield part number for non-camera support, so the windshield of O3 FL should fit the non-FL). I'm also interested in retrofitting the ACC sensor from the Superb/O3 FL BUT it's placed somewhere else (just below the hood) whereas on O3 non-FL it's placed at the bottom grill. I'm currently not sure if there could be a way to install this sensor on non-FL (and at least we would need a special front grill for the radar to be able to work). I'm also interested in having the full traffic jam assist. Note : you might have to swap your ABS/ESP unit for this to work. So, here is the aim of this topic, know if the new camera can work with the "old" sensor (the one in the bottom grill). If anyone want to test and play with this configuration, please post here . Here are part numbers that works together (last revision) - Non-FL O3: Camera 5Q0 980 653 G + Radar sensor : 5Q0 907 561 K - FL O3 : Camera 3Q0 980 654 G + Radar sensor : 3QF 907 561 - Superb 3 : Camera 3Q0 980 654 G + Radar sensor : 3Q0 907 561 D Radar sensor S3 and FL O3 is the same, only the installation bracket is different. So, need to find if 3Q0 980 654 G can work with 5Q0 907 561 K Anyone wants to follow me in this crazy project ?
  6. Here what you have to do : - Close manually the tailgate - Start the basic setting - Then open the tailgate (using the opening button or the key fob) - Then press the closing button - Then the basic settings is "finished" Note : while the basic setting is being performed, a different tone is produced by the controller. Enjoy ! I'm gonna try make some DIY tutorial for those who want to do the retrofit
  7. Hi guys, I'm currently retrofitting the Electric tailgate. Everything quite work fine except the fact that I'm not able to do basic settings. Here is the error code I'm getting : When I try to run basic settings, I have 2 different settings one for zero tilting angle, and one for adapting the heigh opening. Tried with VCDS and VCP, same result When trying to run both, nothing is happening.... Please note that the opening and closing is working fine despite the error code, but the trunk isn't fully opened. But sometimes it doesn't open or doesn't close... If anyone is having any idea on how to fix it? Thanks,
