  1. I’ve test drove the new Peugeot E 208, I like it’s style, especially the interior! It drives nicely, steering is quite light however it gets a-bit heavier in sports mode. Because of its instant torque it feels fast & road noise is very low. I am thinking about test driving the Citigo IV to compare the difference, as the Citigo is around £19k for the top spec including the grant and the Peugeot is £26k including the grant. Difference should be noticeable, we’ll see!
  2. My monte had its towing eye replaced nearly a year ago now! They’d Just replaced it.. 2 second job..... as long as ya boots empty!!
  3. like all new technology, the prices are always ‘way out’ but they’ll eventually come down in price and be competitive. I reckon Tesla will be the first to offer an affordable EV, and to be fair, they’re nearly there with the Model 3 which is the most sought after EV in the UK currently! Price for a Model 3 in the UK could be anywhere between £28k-£32k depending on country taxes / import duties, which really isn’t that bad, especially when the car can be updated over the internet when there’s new firmware (for example, Tesla released an update to all owners which increased battery performance by 5%) - I don’t recall seeing any other manufacturer doing this!
  4. It’s usually the newer phones which don’t work correctly with the Citigo, it’s like they don’t wanna stay with the times and move on. I was struggling with the Skoda app for the Citigo (Move & fun app?) with a Samsung S8+, just kept crashing and wouldn’t open the app at all. however the previous Samsung (an S6) connected perfectly and also worked correctly. I do however think the Citigo would benefit from a touchscreen Infotainment screen, maybe they could use the fabia’s?
  5. Honda’s EV looks interesting. Kinda looks like an old VW classic golf but with a modern twist inside. And as always, Honda have good reliability
  6. No, but theoretically speaking, they could carry a generator to charge themselves on the go
  7. The odd flash now and again, nothing uncommon, usually end up flashing back, just to make em aware it ain’t full/high beam! Had a Leon follow me, but due to the rear view mirror automatically dimming it didn’t bother me one bit. The lights that annoy me are the SUV LED lights, they don’t seem to have the right beam angle at all, always seem to shine directly into the cabin.
  8. LED headlight beam level is automatically set, it works by the load in the boot. It does it every time the ignition is turned on. I agree, retrofitted or modded LED lights won’t, and they’ll be giving the wrong beam level.
  9. My Ibiza has full LED headlights and they’re far superior to normal halogen lights that my previous Citigo had. They provide a wide beam angle, light up the road very well, enough so that I don’t need to use high beams on unlit roads! I’ll always want a car with full LED headlights from now on.
  10. I’d class the Tesla model 3 as a family car and is way more advanced than the Nissan Leaf. The leaf would come second in my opinion however.
  11. Cold weather isn’t a problem for electric cars, they have the technology in them which allows the batteries to heat up while still on charge before you head out, meaning zero loss of charge before you set off on your journey. Just like you set the A/C before you head out, so it’s nice and cool on a summers day or nice and warm for cold winters day - all controlled by your smartphone. Being someone who loves their technology, I seriously am considering an electric car after the current car finance finishes. A Tesla would suit fine
  12. Hi! As far as I’m aware, the Citigo doesn’t have an option for reversing camera, nor front parking sensors. However, you can get rear parking sensors as a fitted option which also shows on the centre radio screen when reverse gear is engaged. upto a 66 plate Citigo you’ll have £20/£30 road tax DAB radio is worth it if you use it auto lights / wipers is a nice comfort feature. My citigo was (still might be) for sale in North Yorkshire - you’d find it on autotrader with a dealership in Seamer
  13. Traded the Citigo in for an Ibiza. The difference is amazing, road noise is pretty much non existent!! I’ll still be around to help anyone out with tech issues related to the Citigo if any should arise!
