  1. I can't hear anything unusual in that sound clip, certainly not anything I would describe as bells or metallic jingling or rattling.
  2. Jesus - nearly 2 years and I've only just seen this reply !! Thanks for the driving lesson - I had no idea how to drive my car properly until I read this I think you misunderstood my comment regarding indicators. I'm not talking about recognising the indicators of the vehicle in front... I'm talking about MY indicators. If I'm indicating to turn around a corner or change lanes, it's annoying that the front-assist doesn't recognise that A: I'm actively in-control of my vehicle since I just made a deliberate safety signal, and B: I'm possibly going to be coming pretty close to the car in-front in order to perform the maneuvre I've indicated. Yes I agree that there will always be occasions when safety-systems don't account for EVERY posible on-road scenario, but that scenario is pretty common throughout the world.
  3. I didn't think the climate control worked unless the AC was on? Thought that was the whole point of climate control - using the AC to set temperature and humidity levels.
  4. I can confirm you can program up to 5 flashes, but I find 5 to be too many, so I've coded mine to 4. 99% of the time, they work with 4 flashes, but occasionally, they revert to the factory 3 flashes all on their own. A shutdown/restart of the car usually resets it back to my programmed 4 flashes though. No idea how/why this occurs, but it's so infrequent I don't worry about it any more.
  5. I type fast !!! It's just totally unnecessary for these stupid queries to come up ALL the friggin time. "How do I turn my radio off".... "What is the clip for".... "How do I put my car into gear and drive".... "How do I have sex with my wife".... I mean FFS, really ?
  6. So instead of just clicking the setting each time you start the car, you're going to dim the screen so you can't see it when you actually want to?
  7. oh my god, are you all seriously responding to this? RTFM dude...... Sorry for the bluntness, but queries like this are just laziness. These forums are a great source of information when there is something wrong with our cars, or information on aftermarket parts or repairs are required, but a simple query like this doesn't deserve to be answered. Read The Fukn Manual.... your car should have one. And if it doesn't, just google it. The amount of time you've spent logging in here, and typing you question as a new thread (and clearly haven't used the search function either), you could have simply typed it into google and had an instant response. 8. This was the first bugbear I had when I first got my preFL 2016 model. Setting can't be permanently stored unfortunately. You have to tick the setting on every time you start the car, so I jusst gave up and got used to having the clock on the screen.
  9. I'd be interested in the long-coding/adaptations used to adjust this? I've driven FL models and liked the way the rear-image stays on screen for a few seconds (so you can ensure you've closed your garage door, or not leaking fluids as you drive away, for example) But i hate the way my pre-FL model only stays on screen WHILE in reverse gear. As soon as you move out of reverse, the screen has gone.
  10. Interesting... mine is still showing 2.87 as being the latest version. I have no option to install 2.88
  11. This thread here will help. It shows how to remove the A-pillar trims, and you can see the sunroof drain tubes running down the pillar. Note: when I wrote this thread/posted these photos, I didn't know what those coloured tubes were, and I've incorrectly wrapped my dashcam wiring around them, to keep it all neat.... but I'm pretty certain I didn't wrap the tubes tightly, so I hope I never have a leakage issue, as it will mean unwrapping all that wiring again. Not sure what you're supposed to do to unblock them though..... I can only assume they get filled with leaves, dirt and crud, to not sure how the mechanics unblock them. Perhaps some long stiff plastic hose of a smaller diameter.... or some form of chemical clean, that you would use in a bathroom sink (done very very carefully) ?
  12. Interesting..... I've checked and my version 2.87 22-Jan, says it's the latest version. Where did you get 2.88 from? And they've messed with the app connection, so even when I rolled-back my version to the previous one, it does an immediate check with their server for latest version, and won't let you do anything unless you update to the newest "ad-ridden" version :( GRRRRRRR Anyone have a hacked apk they can share somewhere, which overrides this check with the Blackvue server, or removes the damned ads?
  13. ahhh... well that's a totally different story then! You MAY find you're not covered at all, in which case the question of cost is a sore point. BUT..... as mentioned, the petrol series of engines are notorious for failed waterpumps and oil mixing with coolant (I've suffered this myself, in week 2 of ownership from brand new) I'm not sure on the diesels, but as you've found, it seems pretty common too. So yes - embarrassing that the dealership hasn't yet identified a cause, when there's so much anecdotal evidence around...... but hey, your car may be something entirely different and new. Hope you get it sorted soon mate. It's a shame, as these cars are pretty awesome.
  14. So that's 2 in a million.... the odds are slowly stacking against the dealership mate.... stand your ground... DON'T pay out of your own pocket. There is clealy an issue that is NOT your fault. These engines are KNOWN for failing waterpumps.... not sure how the exhaust isn't showing up burnt coolant, but something is definitely not right with your engine.
  15. On what planet does a warranty NOT cover the investigations into the cause of a clear issue? CLEARLY you car has a problem, and if the manufacturer's trained technicians cannot identify the cause, that should NOT be at your own cost. If I were you, I'd be making VERY clear to the garage that you won't be paying them a cent, because your car has a clear issue, and it's covered under warranty. And if they refuse to assist you, take them to whatever the small claims/consumer affairs department is in your country... because I'm pretty sure you would have one.
