Likewise, though had the car for 5 years. Drained the water out today by moving the seal away slightly and will see if it comes back. Doesn't look like the drain holes are blocked though, just that the seal sits over them tightly thereby blocking them. So not really sure what to clean!?

That surely can't be right? Would be a massive shot in the foot....

Shame the petrol vRS isn't getting the 286bhp engine out of the latest golf... That would have been nice!
