  1. like hens teeth mate sounds like you got a good deal with this one. I honestly cannot wait to get mine. ive been researching and talking to a few of the lads on here bout the tsi engine curse, like everything else i suppose theyre are good ones and bad ones. Im a mechanic to trade and itll be well looked after, be doing the timing belt and waterpump if its not already been done, obv depends on mileage and age. Could prob stretch to £8k for a good one. want one with less than 30k on the clock. I only do about 5k a year and can service n stamp the book myself. only thing in the back of my mind is the oil consumption issues and if anything goes wrong with the dsg box its something i cant address so im going to take out some sort of warranty.
  2. lovely looking car mate like the colour, im going for a fabia vrs next year for my 40th, budget £7k cash so hoping to get one with low miles 12/13 plate. cant wait
  3. Nice car, I had looked at a rapid 1.2tsi but decided on a fabia vrs going to treat myself think of it as a midlife crisis as im 40 next year. Going to relive my boy racer days but it was escorts and xr2i back then.
  4. Stunning looking car mate really nice job youve done

  9. Hi will you be in ayr this week?? never been in a fabia vrs and ive just spent an hour reading the posts about engine issues and honestly my heart sank. A bit gutted now as i honestly dont know what to do now, id buy from a skoda dealer and only a cthe engine now but read people going thru litres of oil in hundreds of miles. Please let me know of you will be in ayr. Im working 9-5 mon - fri at lamberon autocare ltd york street lane in ayr. its just me and my workmate run the garage. defo let me know and pop in.
