The story of the famous DQ200 clutch slip...
It’s strange many say that the mild hybrids have the DQ200E but this press release claims it is a normal DQ200, of course press releases can be wrong. https://www.volkswagen-newsroom.com/en/the-new-golf-international-vehicle-presentation-5609/new-drive-systems-5622 1.5 eTSI with 110 kW and DSG. The 1.5 eTSI with 150 PS can also be combined with a 7-speed DSG (DQ200) as standard. It has the same output figures (110 kW between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm) as a TSI with the same power but without 48 V technology and DSG. The also identical maximum torque of 250 Nm is available within a range from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. The Golf 1.5 eTSI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 224 km/h.

The story of the famous DQ200 clutch slip...
What about anyone buying a new car with the DQ200 gearbox now? Are all the problems sorted out now? I believe the 48volt mild hybrid is supposed to help mitigate some issues. Separately I have read the the mild hybrid uses the DQ200E gearbox but other say it is the normal DQ200 with belt alternator starter.

DSG long term reliability
Does the 1.5 tsi mild hybrid get the the eDQ200 some suggest that gear box is for plug-in hybrids and that the 1.5 eTSI use a belt driven alternator/ starter motor for electric assistance.

Best time to buy a new car
So it’s been a while since I last changed my car, but I remember that the end of the financial quarter is a good time as dealer are usually looking to get there figures up. March represents the end of a quarter and the of financial year so seems a good time to buy. However is it a good time to place on order at the end of March or to order now for delivery before end of March?

It looks as though the entry level model does not even have sat-nav as standard.

Skoda Enyaq
Wonder if there will be optional extras the entry level car seems well specced at £33450 but misses front parking sensors and its a fair jump in price to the next model.

PCP ending with 2k equity
The dealer could have been under value. In June the ballon payment was £7893. Today webuyanycar are offering £9175. Bit at the time the dealer was saying after the ballon there was only £500 left. Ended up just buying the car outright.

Are you sure there is £2500 equity? When my finance was coming to end I was told there was little to no equity.
