  1. All very helpful. Thanks for the advice folks. I think I will get it booked in early. Better safe than sorry. thanks
  2. Now then, When I took delivery of my Spaceback I requested the variable service option, rather than fixed. I've had it for ten months (from new), and it has just passed 16000 miles. i expect to do about 18000 per year. My question is, will I get a notification on the dash when its due for its first service? On previous cars set to fixed service intervals I've received these at set mileage targets, 10000 etc. Thanks matt
  3. i recently bought some Bosch ones, off the shelf at Halfords.
  4. -1C on the dash this morning.
  5. I had the same problem with my Rapid Spaceback. See thread further down this page. I took it into my local dealer. They plugged it in and tried to reset it, but it just came straight back on again. In the end they decided that they needed to replace a block switch. I'm not sure what that even is. But, they did it and problem solved. I got the work done under warranty.
  6. Just a quick update. I've worn this jersey for a couple of rides now, including a lovely 30km ride home through the Peak District yesterday. It is a lovely fit. Long arms and the gel grip trim stop it riding up under your pits. In fact the grip strip on the arms is very wide, the width of the green trim. The three rear pockets are pretty standard and easily swallowed all my usual gear - phone, mini pump, keys, banana and a cash bag. The colours are a personal thing, but I love it, bottle green and black. The front zip is a half zip, which I am OK with. It is concealed very well, you cannot see it at all when zipped up. Everything about this jersey feels and looks good. It is excellent quality. I normally wear Castelli and howies gear, and this compares favourably with these brands for quality. The only negative is that there is no secret/secure pocket. I quite like a small zip pocket for car keys and cash. So, i would recommend this item, and i would buy another. I'm still waiting for a horn of approval from a Skoda driver though! Cheers guys.
  7. Yeah, Bickertons is my local dealer. They have one jersey on display in the showroom, but none in stock for sale! They were very helpful though, pointing me to the Skoda e-shop. Although in the end they couldn't supply one.
  8. Hi folks, I have been after one of these jerseys for ages, I finally got my hands on one today. I found them initially on the Skoda website in the merchandise catalogue, and also in the Skoda e-shop. But I couldn't purchase from either of those sites. I approached my local skoda dealer who have a very friendly/helpful parts desk. I gave them the product code, but they were unable to buy them. They told me they are not available in the UK! So after much searching I finally found an eBay trader in the Czech republic. It worked out at £46.35 taking only one week to arrive. result. Initial thoughts are that it is very good quality. The zip is concealed and smooth. The sizing is accurate (I used their size guide), there is non slip grip on the hem and sleeves and some nice discreet fluorescent silver touches. I've not worn it on a ride yet though, so time will tell. anyway, I'm well chuffed. They also threw in two skoda decals for my bike. link to eBay shop here - I would recommend them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/matveh?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
  9. They get used every day mate. The upright ones at the rear and along the right hand side are double nets, so you can keep things in them, or trap things behind them. Very practical, very Skoda! I would recommend them. Since these photos I have also put a rubber boot liner in, works great with the nets.
  10. Guys there is a really good thread about this with some very useful photos in the Fabia III forum.
  11. Update - Turns out it was a coincidence. The dealer has traced the fault to a loose connection, they need to replace a block switch. I'm not sure what that is, but it will get sorted next week.
  12. Yeah, I thought so. I intend to pop into the dealers tomorrow and see if they can have a quick look. thanks mate
  13. Hi folks, I installed a dash cam in my 2017 Spaceback today. I followed advice in a thread in the Fabia forum, which worked very well and the dash cam is now installed, hard-wired and working perfectly. However the airbag warning light is now on. I turn the key in the ignition, get a beep, followed by a warning message and the orange warning light is illuminated. I suspect it must be my installation. The airbag fuse is next to the one I have piggy-backed for the dash cam install. I thought I might have knocked it during the install. So I have checked it and replaced it, but the problem still persists. I wonder if I have damaged the air bag or a sensor whilst running the dash cam cable up the pillar up the side of the windscreen? Has anybody else experienced this? Any thoughts about fixes? Or do I have to go and confess at the Skoda garage and get them to look at it? Thanks matt
  14. Dave, The sill protector came from SuperSkoda. It was only about £25. Very easy to fit, came with instructions and alcohol cleaning pad, also it had the adhesive strips fitted. Just clean and dry the sill thoroughly (I used window cleaner/degreaser), wipe over with the alcohol pad and stick down. I marked it up with masking tape to make sure I got it central, as you only get one chance. I'm very pleased with it. After three years of use the boot sill on my previous Rapid hatch was battered. I would recommend one. matt
  15. I took the under bonnet insulation pad from my 14 plate rapid hatch and installed in my new 17 plate Spaceback. Fits perfectly, easy fix. The 1.2 engine is very quite, but it all helps. If nothing else it just looks better!
