  1. My long term readings reset themselves after about 4k miles. Had similar issues with previous Octy doing resets periodically at random.
  2. Yes, I think it was the convenience opening. (Made sure it was disabled it on the day I bought the Superb).
  3. Had this issue when my previous car was new (Octy 3). I disabled the auto window down function and never had the problem again.
  4. When I bought mine the dealer said I wouldn't hear from him for months i.e. a couple of weeks off the delivery date. Suggest you call him and find out the anticipated delivery date. I don't know what the current build times are.
  5. Does anyone else have a problem with the volume of Traffic Programmes? I generally listen to the radio with the volume set at around 45% and when the Traffic programme kicks in the volume is commensurae with the radio volume. When listening to BBC podcasts on a SD card I have to turn the volume up to about 80%. When I am listening to a podcast and the Traffic programme kicks in it nearly blows my head off and there is a scramble to turn the volume down. Is there a way on the current Columbus to set the TP broadcasts to a preset volume? My downloaded version of the manual (Superb anglicky 11.2016) indicates that there is a specific setting for this, unfortunately the hard copy manual (also Superb anglicky 11.2016 but differnet to the downloaded version?!) that came with the car (delivered 1/3/17) gives no advice on volume control. There is an option to set the volume of 'announcements' but this doesn't help (not sure what 'announcements' are as apart from the sat nav the car doesn't talk to me?). Dealer couldn't help. Any ideas?
  6. After 1 month and 2263 miles the ave mpg is 62.8 on the computer and 58.0 from my calc. This is generally 40-50mph A-roads with 1 week of 1 in 3 and 1 in 4 hills in the Yorkshire Moors. This is only 4mpg less than my 1.6 Octavia after 100,000 miles so very impressed so far.
  7. After much searching (to the point where I was measuring the base diameters of cups in shops) I found a cup that fits perfectly. Comfortable fit in the central holder but not loose enough that it will fall over when knocked. Bonus was they were only £1 each in Poundland - available in red, black and mauve. Stickers came off easily once I got home. Time will tell as to how good they are but as I only want them for occaisional use they should be fine.
  8. I ordered the triangle from skodaparts but it is way too big to fit the recess designed for it in the Superb. It is part no. GGA093001A where as the one on the Superskoda site is part no. GGA700001A which I am guessing is the right part. Can't believe that Skoda produce two different triangles! Anyone want to buy a new triangle part no. GGA093001A?
  9. I agree that it would look better without the rear wiper but I do use it frequently and don't believe in form over function. The saloon car drivers l know drive Audi's and BMW's and miss not having the option/benefit of the rear wiper.
  10. Two photos of mine after 1000 miles and needing a wash. The business grey hides the dirt well and don't feel the need to fit mud flaps.
  11. I have now driven 1500 miles and most of the time (dry or wet roads) I don't have a problem with them. I had to deal with mud on a hill last week and they were appalling so when they are due for replacement I will be going for Cross Climates.
  12. I have been looking for a boxed warning triangle that will fit in the recess on my S3 MY17. Having trawlled the Internet and found that some suppliers change the size of the box I thought I would cut to the chase and order one direct from Skoda. They have an accessories page http://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/accessories-and-merchandise but there are no options to view or buy anything!!!??? It would be good if their site caught up with the 21st century.
  13. Filled up for the second time yesterday and on the first tank of Shell V-Power the mpg was 62.8 from the computer and 57.1 from my calc. This is much better than I was expecting and a maximum trip average of 72. My journeys are typically 45 mile commutes each way. These figures are only a few mpg less than my 1.6 Mk2 Octy. When run in and a slightly heavier foot there should still not be too much difference with the bigger engine and car. And here was me thinking the Euro 6 engine was going to give poor mpg....
  14. I picked mine up with Lifeshine last week and the finish is excellent - too early to say how long it lasts. It came with a whole suitcase of Autoglym products so I won't be buying anything else for quite some time. My last car, from the same dealer, had Diamondbrite applied and I was very pleased with that over the 5 years I had the car. BTW the Autogylm suitcase fits perfectly in the left hand cubby of the boot.
  15. I picked up my Superb SEL hatch last week and so far have been very pleased. The only issue I have is that there is no net on the underside of the parcel shelf. I found this to be a very useful feature on the Octavia and am now missing it. The net is clearly shown in a photo in the brochure and is not part of the separately supplied net pack. Do other SEL / L&K owners have this net (I assume it is not fitted for S and SE models as they are not listed as having the net programme)?
