  1. Thanks, JuSko. You sort of guessed correctly. I'm trying to understand how to tell whether the auto mode has switched the lights from DRL to main headlights in low beam mode. In some conditions, I would want to override it and turn low beam on. And I appreciate the explanation of the Headlamp A symbol. I need to try it out in the dark!
  2. How do you tell whether the auto headlights have turned on? If I look down to the switch I can see that the green indicators are lit and often the Android map changes to night time colours. My old Mk2 Superb had a warning light in the display - is there any indicator in the main display. Some of the time, the display shows a white headlamp symbol with a A in the centre. That seems to appear randomly as I rarely touch the switch. Apologies if this has been asked before.
  3. If you have the app, this will allow you to lock/unlock the car without the key/remote. As noted, fob in the cupholder will allow the car to start If you keep spare batteries in the car, bear in mind that the childproof packaging is really really difficult to open.
  4. Thanks to all for the responses
  5. A couple of months ago, I bought a 2024 Octavia after my Superb died. The dealer didn't mention that Skoda Connect is a subscription service but I find that it expires next month. I've had an email offering me "15% off" if I renew now. All sorts of businesses offer a better price to win back your custom if you cancel or lapse a service. Will this happen here or is this offer as good as it gets? They want £31 for remote access and £37 for maps (probably don't need that as well as my phone), both for 12 months. I can do with out traffic sign recognition (£63) and high beam assist (£143).
