  1. @SuperbRaj09 Thats the sound of the power window mechanism failing. The cable lines gets tangled on the electric motor and then window wont go up or down at some point. Replace the whole mechanism as soon as possible, it costs arround 70€. Dont ask me how I know, the same thing happened on my sisters Superb.
  2. Its recomended that you do, there wont be any problems if you dont, but you alredy have to remove the old belt to change the pump, and the belt isnt that expensive, so you might change that while you are at it, so you dont pay twice for the same job. Oh and and I ment serpentine belt, your engine has a timing chain and not timing belt, sorry for mesleading you.
  3. Its a common problem on 1.8 tsi engines, water pump tends to leak at relatively low mileage. Get it replaced with a new one and also change the timing belt, and you are good for next 150kkm.
  4. No, but close. It was taken at Nordic center Planica, arround 5 kilometres away from Kranjska Gora.
  5. ❄️Its been a little bit wintery lately in Slovenia and finally had the chance to try out the new winter tires ❄️
  6. its on the limit, but still clears it, manufacturer leaves a very high safety clearance. And forgot to mention my car has optional rough road package, so it sits 15mm higher, on a standard suspension it probably wouldt fit.
  7. I know its an old topic, but as winter is near I did a little test. 12mm chains on a 225/45 R17 tire 7J wide rims and ET49, its clears the shock absorber by cca 5-7mm 😎 p.s. sory for the bad picture off clearance, its hard to fit the phone back there 😂
  8. Does it display parkassist and climate control, like columbus and amudsen does, or does it lose this function? 😀
  9. Nice Superb mate! As for the brakes, its a fairly easy job if you have done this before, its practicaly the same as on a Golf, only "special" tool you will need is a caliper wind back tool and a M14 triple square bit.
  10. @Adamos20 No they are both on 18s, but my twindoor is on suspension for rough roads, that is why it seats so high and the ground isn`t level
  11. My 2012 Elegance Twindoor and my sisters 2012 Ambition both on summer set of wheels
  12. They are indentical to the front ones, as mentioned in posts above. That is weird that yours doesnt have those my 2012 Elegance and my sisters 2012 Ambition all have them.
  13. When I changed oil in my 6 speed, I also put this oil that you posted a link of. But i think it was a lot cheaper in the local autoparts store, it was around 15€ per litre, and you need 2,4 litres of it for the gearbox.
  14. My Superb on "Alaris" 18 inch rims from Octavia 3. I know its a little high because of suspension for bad roads.
  15. I would recomend Textar pads and discs, I fitted them to the rear of my Superb and to cuple of my previus cars and they worked fine.
  16. I get 56 mpg on a daily baisis, which is mostly short country drives, but on a long trip on the motorway I can easily get to 68-70 mpg. My superb is a 2.0 TDI 140hp CR.
  17. Thanks for this, I was wondering were can I get this cap, since one of mine is missing.
  18. What is your opinion on Barum polaris 3 in 205/55 R16 size for Superb. I am buying new tires for this winter and I can get those for really cheap price compared to premium tires, but not quite shore how will they preform. Did anyone here had them on,and how did the preform?
  19. One off the rear parking sensors also failed on my 2012 Superb. Does any body know the catalog numer for the replacement part, so I order the right one on Ebay?
  20. Not just Skoda UK, most off all european Skodas now have an "Electronic service book", mine has a book, but from 2014 and onwards all Skodas in Slovenia have electronic ones. VW also did this but from 2016 and onwards, and slowly all off the VAG group will do this. Yea you are right, but in Skodas case I think they didn`t change anything in the last 10 years since second gen of Superb came out
  21. It is also written in your service book of your car, what should be changed at given car age or kilometres. Just for comparison my Superb 2.0 TDI CR has 261xxx kilometers and still has original clutch and turbocharger. Only things other than regular service(timing belt and pump done at 205kkm), were new brakes twice. Car was mostly driven on highway.
  22. I would`t say I wanted, but I was searching in that way, but could`t find any for sale in my country.
  23. unfortunately it isn`t, just front wheel drive.
  24. @Batman2771 Its got, rough road package so its 15mm higher, BiXenon headlights, GSM II phone preparation and a few more things which I havent found yet other than that standard elegance equipment.
