Hi i looking to replace rear shock absorbers on my Skoda 1Zr 1.9 TDi I not sure what brand to go for also gas or oil shocks Any advice greatly appreciated

Afternoon all i have annoying issue with my skoda 2010 1.9 tdi skoda Octavia elegance. When my car has stood for a while electric fan comes on and does not stop draining my battery. surely some one has come across this. AA been out a few times but no satisfactory fix. i got Haynes manual but does not show this circuit for wiring diagram to see what i could check.

i had a similar problem this morning when police woke me up to find my car had handbrake failure and was in middle of road is there adjusters at the back to take the slack up if they not equal lengths at handbrake cable end

just an update alternator was replaced with a valeo one multi-meter voltage checked by myself for drainage or power being lost . old alternator was lucas stripped down to be honest it was in a sad state brushes and slip ring badly worn.

i will run multi meter in the morning to see what i getting

no not yet as its an intermittent fault as not sure what alternator will fit as it been stuck at garage all week and they fobbed me off dodgy wiring

hi all i drive a skoda octavia 1.9 tdi Axr Engine its an old taxi but suffering with charging problems u2 model old shape 2008 plate any one done any removal on this please with pics. at present some one butchered this i believe its meant to be 120 bosh on this

hi mine just pack up today center screw back of motor came loose just not sure what can be replaced as where wipers attach threads seem striped as well
