  1. I have the 1.6 TDI and I think the sound of a Bumble Bee is pumped into the cabin for my appreciation, I don't appreciate it at all. :).
  2. No wallet? Change in your pockets ruins your trousers.
  3. My "car" before my Supurb was a 10 year old Nissan Navara. Sometimes the rear beepers worked and sometimes they didnt. Same for the drivers door, sometimes I had to lower the window to open it from the outside but sometimes the actual handle inside worked! I purchased a new car to avoid character!
  4. I suspect that you've probably found yourself too close to the car in front when driving without ACC as do most of us probably so the ACC is making us all safer drivers. On my usual commute home on Friday my journey was delayed twice by crashes, bet these were caused by cars being too close together.
  5. Mine seems to need topping up every couple of weeks and for me that's about 1000 miles. It has been into Skoda for a "Pressure Test" and they found nothing wrong with it. I've a big bottle of pre mixed fluid from Halfords in the boot so just put it in when it is needed. Just over 5000 miles on the clock and the car was new in January.
  6. I drive a very consistent route with mine over 112 mile per day, when it comes to refueling it says I've averaged 62 mpg but the actual it 59.6 so I think it is reasonably accurate and a very good indication anyway. 1.6TDI SE DSG by the way and I've just hit 5000 miles.
  7. My daily commute is 112 miles a day, mostly on motorways, and from my observations there are two types of driver. When approaching a slip road or a part of the road when the lanes split off, driver A moves over in plenty of time and driver B leaves it to the last few seconds and finds a way to get in the right lane or onto the slip road. Now I know which type I am but what are you and which is the best for keeping things moving?
  8. Think these are standard from SE onwards, at least mine has them.
  9. I commute 112 miles a day on the M27 so mine comes on a lot, mainly when someone decides to change lanes at the last second or forces their way from the sliproad and slots into the gap the ACC is allowing me. It brakes quite hard and screams at me to brake, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't but I'm not sure if it's the ACC or it that slams them on.
  10. I didn't tick the box because I think it looks horrible.
  11. I find a quick blip on the accelerator pedal is usually enough to make it carry on when the outside lane is moving slower.
  12. To put things into perspective, I've driven over a 100 miles a day in mine since picking it up two weeks ago and as far as I am aware it if fault free. For every Friday afternoon car there are hundreds like mine I'm sure.
  13. I picked mine up yesterday and I must say it performs better than I thought it would. It's no racing car but is perfectly happy keeping up with traffic and doesn't feel slow at all, and I'm sure as I gain more miles (currently at 80 miles!) it will become even better. Loving it so far:). Cheers, Ricky
  14. I ordered a completely standard 1.6SE at the beginning of December and it's at the dealer now for its PDI.
