  1. I have both, an octy vrs and a fabia vrs, the fabia just gives me a huge grin everytime i drive it especially playing with the paddle shift, the cabin space is decent for a small car likewise the boot, dont think you'l b dissapointed with the fabia!
  2. Pretty sure the black soot comming from the exhaust would give the game away.......
  3. Looks like the power steering fluid cap?
  4. I have both a fabia2 vrs and an octavia vrs tdi pd, my fabia is always my choice for a good thrash!!
  5. Youre car will naturally use coolant over time, assuming the coolant mix in youre car is strong enough you can top it up with some water!!
  6. I prefer the DSG to be honest, the flappy paddles r awesome to play with when give it some right foot!!
  7. Usually do use shell V power, but i live in a rural area and the TOTAL station down the road only does 95, so if i have to use it i can honestly say iv never noticed any difference in performance, slight drop in MPG though, however if u used 95 supermarket fuels i dare say there'd b more of a difference!
  8. Yup funnily enough mine has just started this!! Just turned 2000 miles on clock!
  9. The ipod kits available for your headunit r a bit pants in all fairness, my advice would be to buy an aftermarket headunit with pre-outs and ipod conectivity built in!!
  10. All DPFs will need replaced at some point as they turn the soot particles in to ash which stays in the filter so at some stage or another they all need replaced!
  11. PDs also need at least 15ltr of fuel in tank to carry out a regen, just incase anyones trying with next to no fuel! My light was on every week and it doesnt do town driving, had new sensor and software update, no fix, new injectors, no fix, now just had new manifold, EGR valve and new DPF filter itself, so fingers crossed this time!!
  12. mines had a new turbo a few month ago, new dpf sensor and software just recently, ran perfect till got the new injectors! sure there wasnt any underlying on mine to be fair! :S
  13. does seem funny that a few of us are experiencing problems just after having the new injectors!
  14. Looks like its gettin driven off a cliff then.....
  15. Obviously id be going down the shark route and just taking out the internals so it would appear like its still there but just be puffing a wee bit of soot lol, just wondering if it will actually start failling an MOT at some point if i did remove it??? I just want rid of the DPF hassle!! ruining a great car!! :wonder:
  16. Had new injectors fitted pre-emtive just over a week ago, now the DPF lights has been on every day since!! Its only just had a new turbo, dpf sensor and software upgrade within the last few months, it had DPF probs couple months ago but was fixed with the new sensor and software and ran perfectly, now since the new injectors the DPF light is haunting me!!! :( Been carrying out a 7-14 mile regen every day for the light to go out but next day its back on again!! It doesnt do little town drives either!! Il ring the dealer tomorrow and see what they say. Anyone know how the 2012 diesel emmissions laws will affect a 2008 VRs with the dpf internals removed??? will they just affect 2012 cars onwards or are they going to get uber strict on DPF's and basicly want fresh air from the exhaust?? Im getting to the point now where its either getting sold or DPF removal, but dont wana go down the expense of DPF removal then fail its MOT and pay for a new DPF filter! Anyone else having problems since new injectors? HELP :'( :'( :'(
  17. My cars just had a new turbo a few months ago and new dpf sensor ect, had dpf probs, then had new sensor and software upgrade, ran perfect until got new injectors and the dpf light has been on every day since, going for a regen but next next its back on again!! need to ring my dealer yet again tomorrow!! Sick of this fecking car!! Anyone know if the 2012 emmisions mot test will affect a 2008 octy with dpf internals removed?
  18. Had all my injectors replaced pre-emptive last week, now the dpf light keeps comming on! Grrrrrr!!!!! Its just had a new dpf sensor last month and a turbo 3month ago! I wanted to remove the dpf but with the apparent new emmissions laws comming in i dont want it to fail the emmisons test at M.O.T time!! :-(
  19. Think thats bad, my dads new superb chrome trims are going white and they aint covered by warranty! Apparently theres a bulletin sayin its caused by acid rain and warranty wont pay for it! Awesome for a new car eh?
