  1. Are you cleaning the car too regularly (more than 4 times a year)? It’s those nasty wonder wheels or corrosive sprays from Halfords that ruin the wheels in my experience. The solution, I never wash my car anymore, leased mine, washed once a year, no damage or paint swirls, job done!
  2. I’ve got a Karoq 2.0L SE-L 4x4 manual, the speed adjust and speed limiter are switched on by the left control arm rocker and then select mode by using the right steering wheel to select wether cruise or limiter, however cruise is always by default then have to manually switch to limiter, if I change to limiter it stays selected until ignition off, then when turned back on goes back to cruise. Any way to set speed limiter as the default when switching it on for the left control arm rocker? It’s a bit annoying to have to select limiter every time when ignition is first on.
  3. Keep it, don’t wash it and drive it like you stole it. After all, over thinking cars is a mugs game and after 5 years with 80k on the clock they all fetch about £3-4K in reasonable condition.
  4. In my opinion, save yourself the hassle and buy a Fabia after November 2016, that way you are sure Smartlink will work perfectly. i
  5. Do you have to use the button or simply say “Ok Google” ? I wondered about Android because on Apple IOS you can just say “Hey Siri”, and ask what ever you like. I never use the voice button on the steering wheel.
  6. Well it would be pretty easy to create a polycarbonate mould for 1/10 Tamiya chassis kit. Who wouldn't want a Fabia MKIII Estate Monte Carlo rc car?! Have to get the paints from dealer tho, haha.
  7. Then we could 3D print our cars as a model of the Fabia beauty.
  8. Scan his car? Like 3D laser scan and create a 3D model of it?
  9. Same here, I think of it as a “YOU MIGHT GET A STONE CHIP” warning, so I backnoff much more than I ever used to.
  10. My reverse gear takes 2 to 3 attempts to get it selected and its been getting worse over the past year, still have warranty until March 2019 so might get it checked. Trouble is, I don’t want it messing with, it might just be a bit niggly and taking it all apart to make it worse sounds like hell. Dipping the clutch in again from neutral seems to help it go into reverse, some days it’s goes in first time, odd. It’s only a Skoda, I’ll just buy another one if this one breaks
  11. 1.2 TSI 90 Estate. Record long term is 51mpg after inflating tyres to 2.5 bar, usual 49-50mpg and I don’t drive conservatively. Im sure that flooring it with limiter on is worse mpg than just teasing on the edge with the accelerator, the real-time mpg suggests that’s true but it depends on the gradient of road.
  12. Sorry to hear about the possible write off. My parents bought a 67 plate SE-L Estate 1.0 TSI 95 a couple of months ago, they love it. They went from an Audi A3 1.6 diesel fastback and they much much prefer the new Skoda by far, so powerful for a 1.0L! I have a 1.2 90 Monte Carlo Estate, if I bought it again today, I’d go for the 1.0 TSI 110 for sure.
  13. That doesn’t look right at all, I’d take it to the dealer. Mines completely tight fitting all the way along, can’t even get a fingernail in between it. Get it checked out.
  14. My car is 16 plate, 32K miles, major £279 and minor £149 at Northampton Progress and Lancaster Milton Keynes, seems the going rate in the Midlands.
