No bought the original VCP through Vagtec.com as the clone wouldn’t have covered my 2016 superb
-
Just got VCP installed and downloaded the 2 downloads of files on installation. Did a scan of dtc’s and cleared a lot as suffered a flat battery a couple of days ago it was a nightmare as it’s Kessy and Key not found, was fixed when it got started with jump leads. I am trying to enable the rear lid to close from interior switch. I haven’t found anything in VCP yet. With regards to help or a manual. Any Guidance would be much appreciated.

List of VCDS Owners (Previously known as VAG-COM) & VCP Owners
tjxkeith1 replied to Gizmo's topic in Diagnostics & VCDS
Hi I have Hexnet v2 VCDS and have just ordered Vag Can Pro. I am in South Lincolnshire / Peterbrough area if you like to add me to the list. -
Wanting to do the programming to allow the tailgate to close using the internal button on my S3 I live to far away to use Gizmo’s service. As VCDS which I have won’t do it and need VCP. Does anyone know if the China Clone interface cable using 5.5.1 software is capable of doing it.

I did a very stupid thing at Heathrow short stay car park on return to the car a hour later to find I had left the engine running. So anyone could have driven off with the car. The wife’s Kia Rio also keyless entry just engine stops if she leaves the car and goes out range. Is there any way I can enable this option using VCDS.

I have Had this on mine normally find water drips from bottom of tailgate -
I have a L&K 2016 2.0 Diesel DSG. I don't have any issues with diesel Benefit from better economy of course. I have had Audi and BMW over the years. I have a heavy right foot and have and have had a remap, so my consumption is around 42mpg. I had a new Octavia as a loan car from the dealer and got around 50mpg. If I had a petrol car the consumption would be a lot lower. As a ex motor tech I found the technical training guide for the Diesel engine Online which is for the USA as there laws unsure such information is in the public domain. I was very impressed with the amount of advanced technology that went into the engine development. I estimate VAG engines 5 years ahead of the likes of Kia which my wife has also a 2016 model. Ignore Dirty Diesel brigade DPF and Adblue take care of that.

Hi I had an email from main dealer saying my Superb 2016 diesel would be due for a DSG service which linked to Skoda website indicating an oil and filter change. My mileage Is 39k at the moment. Being a Motor tech in a previous lifetime I looked into how it was done to decided if I would do it myself as I am a bit limited due to disabilities. I have spoken with a VW dealer who has told me I only need the oil changing at a cost of £149. Filter replacement at 80k. I don’t mind changing the filter now as it’s only the cost of the filter and £12 for the bent spanner to remove filter without battery removal. Can anyone confirm the DSG oil only change at 40k is correct.

Its not possible I have found out as I have just retro fitted a camera in my mk3 Superb. there is a y connector the pipeline that enables the water to spray on to the rear screen and the camera. No doubt it could be done with a separate pump and wiring and switch, but it would be an awful lot of work.

I have had the case only for a week and have not had to open case. I do have keyless entry.

Bags for door pocket waste bin?
tjxkeith1 replied to GainfulShrimp's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I asked my dealer if you could retro fit the bins he was unable to find anything in the accessory brochure, where did you order from. My interior is brown as it's L&K don't know if that makes a difference. -

I did it. I had engine and DSG remap today. Weather to bad to try out fully but acceleration from standing start is a lot lot quicker.
