  1. I´m also thinking about buing a BSR remap.. What about fuel consumption? Have you noticed any difference since you remapped our car?
  2. https://cert.mirrorlink.com/ProductListing/
  3. Yoy buy a bluetooth dongle, like ELM327, or Carista´s own, plug it in your car´s obd2 port, download Carista OBD 2 app from google play and start configure the settings via the app. It´s not free, though, you have to pay a subscription for a week or a year.
  4. Mirrorlink doesn´t have anything to do with AndroidAuto... Mirrorlink only works with specific mirrorlink apps and Android phones that has mirrorlink as a feature. Samsung galaxy s7 is one of them.
  5. Or you can do as me and disable it completely with the Carista app
  6. Go into your phone´s settings>connectivity (I think, I use Swedish language in my phone )>mirrorlink and make sure it´s activated...
  7. Haha.. guess everything is relative... Compared to my old VW type-1 from 1955 without seatbelts the Sierra is a pretty safe car to drive..
  8. Haha.. yes, I had a similar experience not so long ago, it was bit of a surprise when the car suddenly decided to brake as hard as it could... But as you said, at least it worked...
  9. I got the Osram cool blue intense bulbs for both my lowbeams and foglights, they offer better performance over stock, and looks a lot better since the light is whiter than a regular bulb and matches the drl-leds better. For my high beams I got the Philips x-treme vision 130%, way better than stock in performance, but not as white as the osram cool blue intense. Philips H7 X-tremeVision +130%
  10. Hi, I got a Fabia 1.2 tsi 90 and thinking about chiptuning.. I know there are already threads about this, but I can´t really figure out what to choose... What is best for the car? Some say a box can cause problems and damage the engine and so on.. I know I´d get the best result from putting the car on a dyno and remap, but that isn´t really an option for me, cause the car is almost brand new and the Skoda workshop might overwrite the software on a service later on, so that would be a waste of money. So that leaves me with something like bsr or racechip, bsr got a hand unit so you can reload the map into the car if it gets overwritten, but it´s pretty expensive.. Racechip is a bit cheaper and sounds interesting cause, after what I understand, it leaves no trace of the tuning if you remove it from the car, plus the phone app where you can choose different setups... But my main concern is what´s best for the car...?
  11. Hi, Has anyone here installed a pipercross (or similar) panel filter on their stock tsi engine? If so, any noticeable effects? Throttle response? Fuel comsumption etc... or just a complete waste of money?
  12. Personally, I love it, the car feels roomier and brighter inside. Especially cool if you ride in the rear seat. And it looks a lot better from the outside too. Nothing negative to say about it so far.
