Hi, I’d be interested in any more information you have on this issue - particularly the comment re “bullet proof”. My Skoda Octavia 4x4 has been serviced regularly (as per manufacturer’s instructions, including the haldex oil and now @ 114,500 miles I’m told the rear diff is failing. I was quoted £4800 for a new read diff, which is more than the car is worth but can’t understand why a regularly serviced car would suffer this unexpected issue (as opposed to other parts that regularly need replaced).
