There has been a new version introduced a few months ago that has been getting worse durability results then the old version. I still have the old version and i personally find that it does last longer then bh double speed, i must say that application wise double speed wax is my favourite

I washed my engine bay with autofinesse enigma and then dressed it with 303 aerospace protectant, yours looks nice and clean like mine, perhaps if youre bored get some metal polish on the metal parts?

How did you find the show? Done and dusted was cheaper than I expected and it even came with a free spray bottle. Did you go to the clean and shiny stand? They had a lot of bargains

Another vote for EZ detail brushes, mine have cleaned my wheels everyweek for 2 years now and are still holding up well

Dependent on the age and condition of the paint you may want to consider a professional ceramic coating, if you dont want to follow that route look at “tac systems moonlight” which will easily outrun bh durability wise

About 150ml of the foam and topped the rest up with warm water, i find that using warm water helps

I found myself in the same situation today when giving my car its weekly clean, it had autofinesse essence applied about 2 months ago and i topped it up with a qd every week, i could see that the water didnt sheet as well so after drying i just topped up a layer of wax, all waxes have their own durability claims but i always find that i top up a bit earlier, if i were you id just put another layer of fusso on as 8 months is a long amount of time if you think about it especially if your car is parked outside.

Meguiars perfect clarity glass cleaner is very good and streak free and can be obtained from halfords, polish wise i cant guarantee that youll be able to get them out but you can try some autoglym glass polish also from halfords, i think that there is some type of offer going on now so the products will be cheaper then usual, also make sure that youre using a good clean microfibre cloth to clean the glass and another dry one to wipe over if needed

Lol, if i were to change id be looking at a cooper s but as of now im looking at different colours to get the wheels sprayed

A quick look on autotrader shows that the vrs market is full of high milleage abused cars that have no optional extras and are covered in rust, worth noting that mine has xenons, satnav, heated seats, third rear headrest and a cd changer, ive also spent a week fully detailing and ceramic coating it so i think that ill get the wheels refurbed and hang on to it unless something really tempting pops up.

My fabia vrs has been in the family since it was brand new in Jan 2007, it has covered 51000 miles and has been serviced every year at skoda. Its kept in the garage and we use it as the weekend/show/fun car, it has been genuinely looked after and not modified in any way. It doesnt get used much now with the occasional drive here and there, everytime i drive the car there is an instant smile on my face and i have enjoyed every mile of it. Im debating on either selling it and getting something else or keeping it, any advice would be appreciated or maybe there are some other long term vrs owners that still have or sold their cars

I had a xtrons unit in my old car, the design of the trim allowed it to push into the touch screen which made the unit do crazy things of its own, this happened in the cold and when i took a sharp left turn. I was told to do a factory reset which i did everytime the unit went crazy but that didnt solve the issue, ended up changing and got my money back through the ebay money back warranty.
